Le nouvel album de ce groupe de black expérimental français sort cette semaine.

Candlelight Records report:

"The black metal Big Black return with a fantastic new breakthrough album out on Monday!

Introduced to mainstream audiences via their early 2004 Candlelight debut, The Work Which Transforms God, and 2005 re-issue of their previous underground catalogue, Memoria Vestusta and Ultima Thulee albums, French extremists BLUT AUS NORD finally remove the blackened veil that has possessively covered their new oeuvre, MoRT.

A singular composition consisting of eight united chapters, MoRT continues the gruesome soundtrack that has quickly become the trio's acclaimed hallmark. Nearly two years in the making, the album again incorporates the band's unique guitar playing (layering similar to early EMPEROR), corrosive rhythm section and bitter vocals.

Formed in 1994, the faceless Blut Aus Nord have enjoyed a steadily increasing worldwide sales and fanbase.

la sortie approche et voilà un peu plus de nouvelles:

Commented the band's singer/guitarist Vindsval: "This album is extremely important for us, we have already composed two amazing songs in the majestuous vein of 'Fathers Of The Icy Ages'. This time you won't find any industrial sounds or disharmonies on the album.

According to Candlelight, "twelve years later, you can hope an ambitious and massive piece of epic, technical and progressive black metal."

The conceptual sequel to 1996's "Memoria Vetusta", "Memoria Vetusta II - Dialogue With The Stars" will feature the following track listing:

01. Disciple's Libration (Lost In The Nine Worlds)
02. Antithesis Of The Flesh (...And Then Arises A New Essence)
03. The Alcove Of Angels (Vipassana)
04. ...The Meditant (Dialogue With The Stars)
05. Acceptance (Aske)
06. Translucent Body Of Air (Sutta Anapanasati)
07. The Formless Sphere (Beyond The Reason)
08. The Cosmic Echoes Of Non-Matter (Immaterial Voices Of The Fathers)
09. Elevation (The Dawn Of The Gods)

BLUT AUS NORD's latest album, "Odinist", was released in October 2007 through Candlelight Records.

Formed in 1994, BLUT AUS NORD have enjoyed a steadily increasing worldwide sales and fanbase. Metal Maniacs, Terrorizer, Kerrang!, Decibel and many others commend the band's sinister sound, often likened to a metamorphis of DARKTHRONE, NEUROSIS and GODFLESH.

"The darkness always teemed with unexplained sound..." (HPL)

"Nahab" – the second part of the Disharmonium cycle - finds BLUT AUS NORD returning, as if by compulsion, to the Weird nightmarish otherworlds of H.P. Lovecraft to reflect them through a new mirror of terrifying Black Metal lunacy.

Descending into abyssal terrain akin to the twin dark chambers of 2022's first instalment "Disharmonium - Undreamable Abysses" and companion-piece-of-sorts compilation "Lovecraftian Echoes", this latest emanation is similarly womb-like, detail-rich, disturbed and transformative.

Musically influenced only by the band’s own extensive oeuvre, in comparison with BAN's recent Lovecraftian explorations "Nahab" has an increased presence of deranged vocal mania, the eerie dynamics are more fully realised, the band's unmistakeable melodic power amplified, the guitars - lower slung for extra resonance - flow in tandem with splendidly lurching grooves like some Stygian wooze-tsunami.

In the dead-eyed trance of one demonically summoned, BLUT AUS NORD have once again channelled esoteric folklore and modern violence into another phenomenal slice of outsider art which befits their own Mythos and monstrosity. A Crowning Horror indeed.

C'est clairement le type d'albums que je me passerais en hiver perso :)
