Juste avant l'annonce de la faillite de SPV, Jeff Waters s'était débarrassé de son contrat avec le label en échange de la sortie d'un DVD filmé l'an dernier à un festival en République Tchèque.

ANNIHILATOR leader Jeff Waters comments on breaking news that SPV Records has filed for the USA equivalent to Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection:

"SPV Records has reportedly submitted an application to commence insolvency proceedings on May 25th. I wish them all the best and they have given us metal fans some great releases for a long time.

The good news is that I signed a deal with SPV, only a few weeks ago, releasing Annihilator from their contractual commitments to SPV, in return for a Live DVD that we shot last summer in the Czech Republic.

SPV will be releasing the DVD soon (and it rocks; co-headlining in front of 30,000 metal maniacs!) but Annihilator are now free from the label and negotiating with others to release the new and finished 13th studio release. Updates coming at annihilatormetal.com."

Ouais pareil, ça me tente bien, mais je ne sais pas si je vais le matter...

Etant donné que c'est le premier concert intégral que nous propose waters, je pense que non seulement j'achète mais en plus je vais me le mater plusieurs fois car j'aime vraiment. Après 20 ans de carrière un premier dvd live s'impose.

C'est vrai qu'on sent qu'il est pas d'dans ...

Moi je trouve dave très bon et talentueux. Il a pas mal de registre heavy, thrash, hardcore. Mais après c'est les goûts c'est sûr. Moi après je suis plus fan des premiers.

Sortie prévue le 30 octobre en Allemagne, Autriche et Suisse et le 2 novembre pour le reste de l' Europe !

ANNIHILATOR mainman Jeff Waters commented in May 2009 on the reports that the band's record label, the Hanover, Germany-based SPV, had submitted an application to commence insolvency proceedings on May 25 — roughly equivalent to Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. ANNIHILATOR was honored in the "Favorite Metal Artist/Group" category at the 2009 Indie Awards (Independent Music Awards), which was held on March 14 at the Royal York Hotel (Canadian Room) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Also nominated in the "Metal" category were BISON B.C., CRYPTOPSY, CURSED and FUCK THE FACTS.

The Indies celebrate the best in independent music. Nominees are selected by committees of industry professionals from all areas of the music scene and winners are decided by a combination of public and industry voting.

Un petit aperçu avec "The Fun Palace", première fois que je vois Padden à la guitare et ça me va mieux comme ça finalement. Les nouveaux batteurs et bassistes n'ont pas l'air extras par contre, mais c'est difficile de juger.

Clair, d'ailleurs sur une autre chanson du même concert il donne l'impression de jouer la même note du début à la fin avec la main gauche en l'air des fois, un disciple de Mat Sinner?

triste de voir comment le pere waters est mal entouré...quand tu vois les équipes de tueurs qu'il avait il y a de cela quelques années..ce groupe est mort pour moi .

je confirme ! la section rythmique était à la ramasse pour la date de Paris, surtout le batteur, enfin on remplace pas un R. Black ou un R. Berquist d'un claquement de doigt...
Sinon j'ai eu l'occas de voir ce DVD, pas en entier, mais ce que j'ai vu m'a plutôt bien plu !! C'est vrai que Padden est plutôt pas mal à la rythmique, question chant c'est autre chose mais je trouve quand même qu'il a progressé depuis ces débuts dans le groupe.
