Ah ben inutile de dire que pour moi c'est l'achat obligatoire, et que s'il est au moins egal à "Domino effect", ce sera l'album de l'année

mieux que "domino effect" ça va être dur quand même ; Mais quel album quand même il tourne en permanence partout caisse, appart . Chapeau les Suisses
This week, Swiss rock band GOTTHARD celebrate the highest chart entries they have ever achieved in their career.
While Need To Believe again is on top of the Swiss charts, it has, for the first time, entered the Top 10 in Germany: Gotthard hit the official Media Control Charts at #8 and are #10 in the official download charts.
These mark the highest chart entries Gotthard have achieved during their almost 20 year long history. So it seems like the philosophy of the band, to always believe in oneself and move mountains with the own strength of will, a topic that is also expressed in the album title Need To Believe, has been the right one.
In Sweden the album hit the charts at #30, in Japan at #57 and in Austria at #28.

Sa sortie est passée un peu inaperçue (ou alors tout le monde s'en fout ) mais à la première écoute je trouve qu'il envoie du bandana en cuir cet album!
Quelques arrangements un tantinet différents (bienvenus) j'ai l'impression, mais en tout cas la recette Gotthard est là, voix chaude avec gros son et mid-tempos appuyés.

Vu le peu de blahblah dessus, je l'ai vu mais pas pris. J'attends des avis de fans pour ca.

Ok alors il est pas au niveau de "Domino effect", mais en même temps c'etait difficilement faisable.
Apres, il n'y a que 11 titres (un de lus avec la version digipack, un des meilleurs morceauxde l'opus d'ailleurs !), dont 4 mid tempo, ce qui en ration est trop important par rapport aux precedents qui avaient autant de mid tempo pour au moins 14 titres.
Il est moins memorisable aux premieres ecoutes, ce qui est rare chez Gotthard, mais je l'ai ressorti depuis quelques temps, et franchement ca reste du tres bon Gotthard. Pas exceptionnel, on sent quand même un peu la facilité limite roue libre, mais la majorité des chansons sont bien bonnes et melodiques.
La premiere "Shangri La" est la plus accessible et puissante, mais il manque un "Gone too far" en heavy, un "Top of the world" en fun entrainant, un "Sister moon" en titre qui fait taper du pied, et un "Let it be" en superbe mid tempo.

Pour ma part je ne connais pas bien Domino Effect et ça m'est difficile de comparer, j'en étais encore à Lipservice que j'aime beaucoup. Va donc falloir que je me procure les 2 derniers (écoutés vite fait sur Deezer en attendant), car Gotthard m'ont mis une belle claque à Munich le week-end dernier! Et pour l'instant le dernier passe super bien chez moi.
J'en toucherai 2 mots dans le topic de la tournée quand j'aurai le temps.
En attendant, le guitariste et le bassiste ont servi de standardistes pour une émission de charité allemande
It has been a true marathon for Freddy Scherer (guitar) and Marc Lynn (bass) of Gotthard: nearly without any sleep the musicians left Fürth after their show to arrive in Cologne early in the morning, where they had been invited by the biggest German TV show collecting money for poor children, the RTL Spendenmarathon.
Next to an amount of 1001 - the 1001 standing as a symbol for "1001 dreams", for hope - Gotthard were also giving their charming personalities. For more than one hour the two musicians answered the phone calls of people wanting to donate money. Among other telephone celebrities such as boxing legend Henry Maske and soap star Susan Sideropoulus, they were helping to collect as much money as possible during the 24 hour TV marathon.
Directly after their RTL visit, Freddy and Marc had to rush to Gießen where they had their next show the same evening. Leaving with the nice feeling of having done something good, of course, and with admiring all people working in call centres.
"This is really pretty exhausting", both of them summarized. "Our full respect to all of them doing something like this every day."

le chanteur a été impliqué dans un important accident de voiture en Italie alors qu'il allait en vacances, heureusement il n'a rien eu:
Vocalist Steve Lee of Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD has released the following statement:
"I want to inform you that I have been involved in a horrible car crash in Italy on Saturday, August 7 while I was on my way home from a little vacation. A car crashed into us on the motorway near Firenze, and it involved six other cars. As cars were slowing down, the person in the car behind us didn't notice that, and crashed into our car. Despite the accident, I want you all to know that I am OK. I guess I must have a 'rock-loving' guardian angel."
