A trailer for "Goi, Rode, Goi!", the new album from the Moscow, Russia-based "Slavic pagan metal" band ARKONA, can be viewed below. The CD will be released via Napalm Records on the following dates:

Oct. 28 - Finland, Spain
Oct. 30 - GAS, Benelux, France, Italy, Sweden
Nov. 02 - Rest of Europe
Nov. 03 - USA, Canada

"Goi, Rode, Goi!" was recorded at CDM Records studio between October 2008 and May 2009 except the drums, which were recorded at Gigant studio, and the guitars, which were recorded at Astia studio.

"Goi, Rode, Goi!" contains a 15-minute song called "Na Moey Zemle" ("In My Land"), which is being described as "a kind of pagan metal opera about the travelling of Slav around countries of Europe." The CD artwork was created by Kris Verwimp (THYRFING, MÅNEGARM).

ARKONA's last album, "Ot Serdca K Nebu" ("From the Heart to the Sky"), was released on July 4, 2008 via Napalm.

According to a press release, ARKONA's "leader is the charismatic frontlady Masha Scream, who also writes all the music and lyrics, as well as delivering her fierce vocals. The band plays Slavic pagan metal and embellishes their versatile compositions with the use of folk instrumentation."

j'ai découvert cet été en achetant l'album "ot serdca k ebu" ( voui oui c'est le titre et pas un SMS de sarah!)
je pensais que la barrière de la langue allait m'empêcher d'apprécier. Que nenni. Les mélodies sont accrocheuses. Dommage que je pige rien à ce qu'ils racontent par contre, mais ils ont quand même eu la bonne idée de faire un petit résumé en anglais de chaque chanson dans le livret.

du coup, j'attends cet album avec impatience

Elle se déguiserait en panda, ça ferait un bon clip d'Immortal Enfin Mascha est quand même plus sexy qu'Abbath ou Horgh

Sinon, la chanson est sympa, il faudrait que je me procure cet album

Je viens de découvrir grâce à ce topic et c'est plutôt sympa comme groupe, pas mon grand trip mais dans le genre je le trouve vraiment cool.
