Bassist/mainman Leif Edling of Swedish doom metal legends CANDLEMASS was interviewed live on tonight's (Monday, December 21) edition of Greece's "Metalzone" radio show (web site) with Kostas Purevil Kyriakakis. One of the topics raised during the chat was the upcoming CANDLEMASS DVD, which will probably be out in late February/early March via Nuclear Blast. Tentatively titled "Ashes To Ashes Live", the disc will contain footage of the band's performance at this year's Sweden Rock Festival in front of 30,000 people as well as CANDLEMASS' entire October 2009 concert in Athens, Greece. Bonus material will include two large photo galeries and the interview Metalzone.gr conducted with the band when they were in Greece.

The set will contain footage of the band's performance at last year's Sweden Rock Festival in front of 30,000 people as well as CANDLEMASS' entire October 2009 concert in Athens, Greece. it will also include a 30-minute interview and two photo galleries. The DVD will be released as a CD+DVD, with the Sweden Rock show as the audio CD. For the die-hard fans, Nuclear Blast is putting two sets of double vinyl together (one set Sweden Rock Festival, one set Athens), limited edition (1,000 copies each).

"[The latest CANDLEMASS album] 'Death Magic Doom' was the turning point for us. All of a sudden we were back up there — in demand, getting great reviews, playing gigs for lots of people. Shit, even Sweden Rock wanted us! The big stage at [5:00 p.m.], before ZZ TOP and TWISTED SISTER. And we did good. 25,000 people cheered during our 80-minute set. Goosebumps!
