L'ancien groupe de Liv Kristine vient de raccrocher, en l'absence de motivation au bout de 17 années.
Norway's THEATRE OF TRAGEDY has released the following statement:

"After nearly 17 years in existence, THEATRE OF TRAGEDY has decided to call it a day and close down.

"This has not been an easy decision to make and we have thought about this for a long long time. We finally agreed to this during the production of our latest album, 'Forever Is The World'.

"THEATRE OF TRAGEDY will come to an end on October 2, 2010, exactly 17 years after we started making music together.

"Over the years all of us have strived to combine the THEATRE with everyday life but in the end it has proven more and more difficult.

We have come to appreciate our family lives and jobs, which makes it very hard to continue this life of rock 'n' roll on the road.

"We know that some of you will probably be very disappointed, but we also hope you will continue to listen to our music, which all of you learned to appreciate and love so much.

"We want to thank everyone of you for all your support over the past 17 years! THEATRE OF TRAGEDY wouldn't have been possible without you!

"Be sure to catch us on the last THEATRE OF TRAGEDY shows ever this year!

"The final gig will take place on October 2 in Stavanger, where it all began.

"Our music will live on... and forever is the world."

For the first time in 10 years, THEATRE OF TRAGEDY will feature a live bass player when it hits the road in early March. The band says, "We have the privilege to announce that the talented Erik Torp from LOWDOWN will handle this duty around Europe." Support on the trek will come from WHERE ANGELS FALL.

THEATRE OF TRAGEDY will release a a limited-edition tour version of its seventh album, "Forever Is The World", on March 5 to coincide with the band's upcoming European shows. The set will include a new EP called "Addenda" and will feature 10 tracks of b-sides, rarities, remakes and remixes. Once the limited version of "Forever Is The World" is sold out, the EP will be sold separately.

The winner of the creative competition, Martin Pöhlmann, created the artwork for this release.

"Forever Is The World" was released in September 2009 via AFM Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Storm" was recorded at Room 13 studios in Oslo with producer Alexander Møklebust, who has previously worked with ZEROMANCER, SEIGMEN, GÅTE, MONOMEN and DELAWARE, among others. The mastering was handled by Bjørn Engelmann at the Cutting Room in Sweden.

"Forever Is The World" was made available in three different versions: a limited digipack with one bonus song, a very limited double vinyl version with two bonus tracks (one exclusive to the vinyl edition!) and a regular jewelcase.

Former LEAVES' EYES and THEATRE OF TRAGEDY frontwoman Liv Kristine has joined MIDNATTSOL as the band's second singer. MIDNATTSOL features Liv's younger sister, Carmen Elise Espenaes.

Commented MIDNATTSOL: "Some time ago, we discussed with Liv that she would support us on our upcoming album as a special guest. Working together, we found out that not only the result is awesome — we also have a lot of fun together. The logical consequence was that we pick up Liv as a permanent member of the band. So she is now the official second singer in MIDNATTSOL.

"We have already recorded Liv as the second voice on some songs for the next album. Liv will also have her own parts in some songs, so these songs will be more like a duet of the two sisters. We think the results will blow you away.

"As Liv is now a permanent band member, we plan to play upcoming concerts together with her. We are very happy and it means a lot to us to have such an amazing singer and fantastic person in our MIDNATTSOL family."

A snippet of a new MIDNATTSOL song called "Purple Sky" is available below.

MIDNATTSOL's upcoming album will be the band's first since 2011's "The Metamorphosis Melody".

More recently, Carmen was involved in a project called SAVN, also featuring two members of THE SINS OF THY BELOVED.

Liv was fired from LEAVES' EYES in early 2016 and was replaced by Elina Siirala. Liv was previously married to LEAVES' EYES' co-vocalist Alexander Krull.

"Herr Mannelig", the new video from MIDNATTSOL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album, "The Aftermath", which will be released on May 25 via Napalm Records. The band's current lineup includes former LEAVES' EYES and THEATRE OF TRAGEDY frontwoman Liv Kristine Espenæs alongside Liv's younger sister, Carmen Elise Espenaes.

"The Aftermath" relies much more heavily on folk influences lending atmospheric density to the melancholic symphonic metal compositions. It is a sumptuous and sensual affair and a shimmering highlight in the discography of this German/Norwegian team.

"The Aftermath" track listing:

01. The Purple Sky
02. Syns Sang
03. Vem Kan Segla
04. Ikje Glem Meg
05. Herr Mannelig
06. The Aftermath
07. The Unveiled Truth
08. Evaluation Of Time
09. Forsaken
10. Eitrdropar (bonus track)

MIDNATTSOL released its promising debut album, "Where Twilight Dwells", back in 2005. The band quickly gained fans around the gothic, metal and rock scenes and played numerous shows and summer festivals like Summer Breeze, Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Mera Luna, as well as opening for IN EXTREMO. Their second studio album, "Nordlys", was released in 2008, followed up by "The Metamorphosis Melody" in 2011. After that, the band decided to take a creative break.

MIDNATTSOL announced Liv's addition to the band last December. The group said in a statement: "Some time ago, we discussed with Liv that she would support us on our upcoming album as a special guest. Working together, we found out that not only the result is awesome — we also have a lot of fun together. The logical consequence was that we pick up Liv as a permanent member of the band. So she is now the official second singer in MIDNATTSOL.

"As Liv is now a permanent band member, we plan to play upcoming concerts together with her. We are very happy and it means a lot to us to have such an amazing singer and fantastic person in our MIDNATTSOL family."

MIDNATTSOL 2018 is:

Carmen Elise Espenæs - Vocals
Liv Kristine Espenæs - Vocals
Alex Kautz - Guitar
Daniel Fischer - Keyboard
Stephan Adolph - Guitar

C'est sympa. Faudra que j'écoute Theatre of Tragedy. J'ai toujours adoré les parties de chant de Liv Kristine dans Nymphetamine de Cradle of Filth. ça fait des années que je me dis que je devrais écouter ce qu'elle a sorti avec ses groupes !
