CRADLE OF FILTH prévoit déjà un nouvel opus pour 2011 qui s'intitulera "Midnight In The Labyrinth". Il s'agira de présenter des versions orchestrales de titres issus des quatre premières réalisations du combo. On retrouvera donc des titres de "Vempire Or Dark Faerytales In Phallustein", "The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh", "Dusk... And Her Embrace" et de "Cruelty And The Beast". Dani a déclaré que pour l'instant "Funeral In Carpathia" était son morceau revisité favori.(VS-Webzine)

Next year, Cradle Of Filth will release an orchestral album, Midnight In The Labyrinth, featuring reinterpretations of songs from the first four releases: The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh, Vempire, Dusk… And Her Embrace, and Cruelty And The Beast. “We finished the majority of it before we started writing this (Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa), except this kind of took over and therefore took precedence,” explains Dani. “It’s tracks like ‘Thirteen Autumns And A Widow’, ‘Funeral In Carpathia’, ‘The Rape And Ruin Of Angels’, ‘Dusk And Her Embrace’. It’s done not in elevator music style but in John Williams / Danny Elfman kind of territory.”

So it’s not going to be like Metallica’s S&M album then? “No! God no! This is going to be like listening to a horror soundtrack, but you know the songs as well. They’ve been really, really well translated. We’ve got to add a few more strings in there and some choir and a bit of narrative, which I was hoping to use someone quite famous in the film industry for. I’ve got my eye on one particular lady. It’s quite exciting; it’s going to be huge. I mean huge in sound; two people will probably buy it because it’s orchestral, but it’s going to be amazing.” The original lyrics will not be included, yet it won’t be entirely instrumental either. “No, there’ll be some narrative here and there, effects and stuff. It’s going to be like watching a movie with your eyes sewn shut.”
