Le groupe est en train d'enregistrer ce nouvel album et s'apprête en plus à faire un film du même titre pour l'illustrer. L'album sera donc entièrement basé sur cette histoire. Le tournage commencera au printemps et la sortie du film est prévue pour 2012. La date de sortie de l'album n'est pas encore définie.
In the midst of recording a new album, Nightwish has been preparing a movie. "Imaginarium" is a music fantasy - film based on the forthcoming Nightwish album of the same title and its 13 songs. The protagonist of the film is a songwriter with an otherworldly imagination. He is an old man who still thinks he`s a young boy. While asleep he travels into his distant past where his dreams of old come back to him mixed to the young boy`s world of fantasy and music. In his dreams the old man fights to find the memories most important to him. This never-done-before project originates to more than two years in the past when Tuomas first introduced his ambitious idea of the Imaginarium - concept to the fellow band members and to Mr. Stobe Harju, the director behind "The Islander" - music video. He will be the director of this full-length feature. The film will be produced by Solar Films Inc. together with Nightwish. The shootings for "Imaginarium" will begin this spring, it will have its premiere in 2012 and the album it`s based on will be released in an undefined point in time. Nightwish will hold a press conference related to this project at the end of February.

vu comme ça, cela semble très pompeux comme projet !! C'est pas Lordi qui avait sorti son propre film aussi ?? Ca n'a pas marché, je crois. Après, Tuomas est un excellent compositeur, alors il peut très bien sortir un truc génial !!

Moi j'ai bien aimé le dernier album, après en live c'est pas terrible avec Annette mais ça reste du bon heavy à chanteuse je trouve.

News de la plus haute importance, l'album devrait finalement s'appeler, 'Imaginaerum' et non "Imaginarium" !

Un single sortira le 11 novembre.
"Storytime", the new single from Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH, will be released on Friday, November 11 via Nuclear Blast Records.
In order to "avoid mix-ups" with various things named "Imaginarium", the title of NIGHTWISH's upcoming album and movie has been changed to "Imaginaerum".

Musicalement c'est toujours aussi bon mais j'aimerai les voir avec un chanteur pour le coup car la Annette est quand même bien limitée.

J'ai toujours été très interloqué par cet album-film qui serait clairement moins heavy (Symphonique voir tendance opéra..) mais ce video clip passe vraiment bien, très rythmé, il me fait pensé à un Ghost love score du dernier album avec Tarja, "ONCE". Pour ma part, assez surpris même si comme tu dis, le chant est limité mais elle se débrouille pas mal dans le chant rapide, la petite.
