Le (vieux) groupe de thrash metal allemand NECRONOMICON vient de signer un deal avec le label Massacre Records. Le groupe devrait y sortir l'année prochaine son nouvel album, "Invictus". Album dont le mixage et le mastering ont été confié au producteur Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, BRAINSTORM). Par ailleurs, Randy Black (ex-ANNIHILATOR) et Ben Krahl (FINAL KINGS) apparaîtront en guests sur l'album. Plus d'infos sont disponibles sur la page Facebook du groupe

The German thrash cult Necronomicon (not to be confused with the Canadian death metal group) goes a long way back to 1984 but is still very much alive and kicking.

Stronger than ever, Necronomicon has worked on new material and will release a 9th studio CD and some other very special work with Into The LimeLight Records and Soulfood as distributor.

The new release will be available in the spring of 2017 and will be produced Achim Köhler, who has worked with bands like Avantasia, Scorpions, Edguy and many others. Stay tuned for full details Necronomicon is:

German thrash metal veterans NECRONOMICON will release their ninth studio album, "Unleashed Bastards", on September 28 via El Puerto Records.

Nearly three years have passed since the arrival of "Pathfinder ... Between Heaven and Hell" — an album that thrilled fans and press from South America to Russia alike.

NECRONOMICON guitarist/vocalist Volker "Freddy" Fredrich promises "Unleashed Bastards" will contain "a full menu — everything will be there: from punk to old school, from speed to flawless thrash metal. So the band has experienced a lot since their debut album in 1986 and has a lot to tell."

Les nouveaux extraits sont mieux que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Le groupe n'est plus vraiment allemand d'ailleurs, mais plutôt international.

Necronomicon's new album, The Final Chapter, is in essence a new chapter for the band. It's the first time that the band has international members, so the sound is diﬀerent because of Rik Charron (ex-Exciter) on the drums, and Glen Shannon on lead guitar. But, oddly enough, you still know it's Necronomicon - due to founding member Freddy, and his distinctive song writing style, and Marco Lohrenz on bass and backing vocals.

El Puerto Records will release The Final Chapter on March 26, 2021 in CD, Limited Edition Steelbox, and Digital formats.

The songs on The Final Chapter, Necronomicon's tenth album, are intricate, hard-hitting, full of force speed and power. There will be a song on this album that will please everyone from power metaller to thrasher. As with all the previous releases, the album bears the unmistakable and signature sound of Achim Köhler who was responsible for the mixing and mastering. This album is coming to tear the roof down with a blistering sonic assault, and maybe it's the final chapter? Beware of the beast!
