Ouais mais en live le chanteur était bien allumé, c'est lui qui avait l'essentiel du charisme dans le groupe. Perso j'aurais bien aimé les revoir avec ce frontman.metal militia a écrit :ça partait déjà en vrille sur le plan musical...
Guitarist Patrik Jensen of Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED has released the following statement:
"It's with deep regret we have to inform you of another two departures from THE HAUNTED; guitarist Anders Björler and drummer Per Møller Jensen. No animosity whatsoever caused these events, nor are there any other feelings than that they will both be dearly missed. We wish them all the best in whatever, and wherever, their future endeavors will take them
"For all you who have any knowledge about the band, and know how to count, you will realize that there are only two band members left; Jonas [Björler, bass] and myself . We are still committed to the THE HAUNTED. However, in the light of these recent events, we honestly don't know what will happen. We hope for your appreciation of our current situation, and for your patience."
Commented Anders: "I feel that I have come to the end of the line regarding THE HAUNTED. This is not a sudden or hasty decision. I have been contemplating it for the last couple of years.
"Peter's [Dolving, vocals] departure earlier this year made me more certain than ever that I had reached my personal goal with THE HAUNTED, and that the time was right to call it quits.
"I have enjoyed every bit of the ride.
"It's been an overwhelming journey.
"I would like to thank the other band members especially, our crew through the years, and our fans worldwide for the experience and opportunity. Thank you so much! The memories will be with me forever.
"I will, of course, continue writing music, but where that leads me? Simply too early to say."
Per Møller Jensen released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET earlier today announcing his departure from THE HAUNTED. He explained, "This decision has been underway for a long time and cannot be attributed to Dolving's departure earlier this year."
Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED will release a new three-song single, "Eye Of The Storm", on January 20 in Europe and January 21 in North America via Century Media Records. The single’s cover artwork can be seen below.
"Eye Of The Storm" will be made available as limited-edition seven-inch EP (1,000 copies split as follows: 500 on black vinyl, 300 on red vinyl and 200 on white vinyl) and as digital single, featuring the new songs "Eye Of The Storm", "Infiltrator" and "My Enemy".
You can pre-order the seven-inch single (in black or red vinyl versions) as well as the band's back catalogue for special reduced prices from CM Distro in Europe.
The single marks the recording debut of THE HAUNTED's new lineup, which was announced last summer, featuring founding members Patrik Jensen (guitar) and Jonas Björler (bass), returning members Marco Aro (vocals) and Adrian Erlandsson (drums), as well as new guitarist Ola Englund.
Commented THE HAUNTED's founding member and guitarist Patrik Jensen: "There aren't superlatives enough to describe how much the band has longed for these three songs to be released.
"We are sure fans have been anxious to know what the band sounds like today after all the turmoil and old members leaving and new members joining.
"We feel that these three songs represent the band perfectly.
"We are currently working on the new album, an album that will be filled to the brim with what we know to be THE HAUNTED.
"We'll start doing gigs this spring and we'll do festivals all over the place this summer.
"Get in touch with the festivals you visit (and behave like an animal at) and tell them to get us on the bill!
"THE HAUNTED is back.
"Play it loud. No. Louder."
The new lineup of THE HAUNTED will make its live debut during the 2014 edition of "The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise" — 70000 Tons Of Metal — which will sail January 27 to January 31 from Miami, Florida to Costa Maya, Mexico and back.
THE HAUNTED's 2014 lineup:
* Patrik Jensen - Guitar
* Ola Englund (SIX FEET UNDER, FEARED) - Guitar
* Marco Aro (THE RESISTANCE, FACE DOWN) - Vocals
* Jonas Björler - Bass
* Adrian Erlandsson (AT THE GATES, PARADISE LOST) - Drums
THE HAUNTED's founding member and guitarist Patrik Jensen stated about the band's new lineup: "THE HAUNTED went through some difficult times last year. Losing three band members is a pretty huge blow to any band. Jonas and I agreed immediately that we wanted to continue with the band, but we wanted to take our time and not rush into anything.
"Some of you might recognize a few faces, some of you might not. Adrian Erlandsson is back on drums and Marco Aro is back on vocals. Adrian you might know from playing on our first album and Marco sang on 'The Haunted Made Me Do It', 'Live Rounds In Tokyo' and 'One Kill Wonder'. On guitar we also have Ola Englund bringing some pretty heavy chops to the band.
"We're all VERY excited about having THE HAUNTED back in working shape again and we can't wait to get back out on the road to play for our very patient and faithful fans again. A new album is also already in the works and if you are familiar with the individual band members of this new lineup, you can be assured that the new material will grab you by the throat from the get-go!"
Vocalist Marco Aro (ex-FACE DOWN, also in THE RESISTANCE) was previously involved with THE HAUNTED for three acclaimed releases between 1999 and 2003 as well as for several worldwide touring campaigns. Drummer Adrian Erlandsson (also in AT THE GATES and PARADISE LOST) belonged to the original lineup of THE HAUNTED together the Björler twins after the demise of their previous legendary group, AT THE GATES. Together with Jensen, they launched THE HAUNTED's self-titled debut in 1998, an album which has been widely considered as the kick-start for a new era in the thrash metal movement and which, despite its initial underground status, climbed to be a massively inspirational record for a whole new generation of musicians and bands in the following decade. Guitarist Ola Englund is a highly talented young player from Sweden, who has recently been active as touring and recording member of U.S. death metal institution SIX FEET UNDER.

Sweden's The Haunted has started recording an 8th studio album at Antfarm Studio in Denmark with the revamped band line-up featuring founding members Jonas Björler (Bass) and Jensen (Guitars), returning members Adrian Erlandsson (Drums) and Marco Aro (Vocals), and the newest member Ola Englund (Guitars).
This currently untitled full-length will be produced by Tue Madsen, who has already worked with the band on previous releases.
Testament frontman Chuck Billy is set for a cameo on The Haunted‘s new album. Billy is due to leave his mark on a song titled “Trendkiller” from the effort, which will be released later this year.
Swedish metal institution, The Haunted, have revealed details for their upcoming new album, which sees the band return to their classic deadly thrash metal sound.
The Haunted’s new album, which was again recorded with the band’s longtime producer Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio (Dark Tranquillity, Heaven Shall Burn, Sick Of It All) in Denmark, is symbolically and programmatically entitled Exit Wounds, and will be released on August 25th in Europe and September 2nd in North America via the band’s longtime label partner, Century Media Records.
Vocalist Marco Aro commented on the album’s impending release’s title and artwork as follows: “OK my friends, so here we are again... at the threshold of a new The Haunted release. It maybe doesn’t sound very exiting to some... but... it is!!!
This time around we’ve found our way back to where we once started! You could say that we’ve gathered the old crew, both in music and the artwork. Our old friend Andreas “Diaz” Pettersson is back, an amazing artist with a rap sheet which includes the artwork on no less than four The Haunted albums. He always finds a way to put our thoughts into print where he sometimes even scares us a bit... and this release is no different.
We decided on Exit Wounds as being a good title for the album given the recent history of the band, but also a sort of a phoenix rising. FUCKING JÄVLA FÅGEL FENIX... WE ARE BACK!!!
We are so excited about this little thing we’ve created! Can’t wait to get out there and start playing these songs and for me personally, I could not be more proud of what we have done, I really hope you’re going to enjoy it!”
