Dans cet annonce, Biff parle d'un nouvel album du groupe au tout début 2013 :
"We are very busy these days with the new album and we have already a few ideas together. I am writing melodies and lyrics and arranging them into songs. We will give the rest of the band a break for [holidays]. After that, we have a full session in April before heading to the mighty sugar loaf and rock Sao Luis! We are really looking forward to coming back to celebrate an awesome party with our South American fans! Needless to say that the Rock In Den Ruinen festival in Germany is also going to be great! And don't forget: Our new DVD will hit the stores in April! We are very proud of this product as it reflects SAXON at its best: big productions, great performances and a fabulous audience!!! We will keep you updated where you can get the special limited fan edition! When we've finished our short live break, we will enter the studio in the U.K. and will start recording the new album. Looking at a release date in the beginning of next year!"

Bon, ils repoussent la date de sortie (initialement, ils espéraient sortir le nouvel album pour cet automne), sûrement à cause du DVD.
Ils sont déjà entrés en studio à plusieurs reprises cet hiver...

Ils ont commencé le mixage avec Sneap, pour une sortie prévue en fevrier:
British heavy metal legends SAXON have begin mixing their new album with producer Andy Sneap, who has previously worked with MEGADETH, ACCEPT, NEVERMORE, EXODUS and ARCH ENEMY, among many others. The follow-up to 2011's "Call To Arms" will feature cover artwork by longtime SAXON artist Paul Raymond Gregory and is tentatively due in February 2013.

Il va encore y avoir 2/3 bons albums (enfin j'espère) en ce début 2013...

L'album je m'en fous (il sera sûrement anecdotiques comme les précédents) mais vivement la tournée !

"The Inner sanctum" est le meilleur album de Saxon de ces derniers années ca ne fait aucun doute, une vrai claque! le petit dernier (mis à part "Hammer of the gods" et 1 ou 2 titres) et surtout "Into the labyrinth" sont anecdotiques... du déjà entendu, pas de riffs et de chants fédérateurs qui sortent de l'ordinaire...

Pas trop aimé le dernier, mais j'espére qu'il sera aussi bon que les précédents. Et je pense avec une bonne production grace au guitariste de "sabbat"

L'album contiendra 10 titres avec un petit retour aux sources avec des titres tels que ‘Warriors Of The Road’, ‘Wheels Of Terror’ et ‘Stand Up And Fight’...
En plus de l'album, il y aura des bonus : Une version orchestrale de "Crusader" et une version acoustique de "Frozen Rainbow"...

C'est cool, on peut s'amuser à interchanger des titres: Made of Steel, Warriors of Terror, Walking the Road, Stand Up in a Queue, Standing in Belfast, etc...

On a eu le droit à la chanson "sacrifice" en live vendredi soir, et comme dit dans le topic du fest, elle passe vraiment bien. Bon un concert c'est pas l'idéal pour découvrir une chanson, mais de ce que je retiens un riff bien prenant surtout pour secouer un peu la tête.

Ouaip, perso j'aime beaucoup leur 1er single "Sacrifice", si l'album reste dans cette trempe là ce sera du tout bon!

j'avais pas trop accroche sur leurs derniers cd
mais celui ci tourne en boucle !
