j'en étais resté à ils ont arrêté mais ils continuent (avec Rachelle) un autre groupe mais avec les mêmes...

faut croire qu'il y a eu du changement... pourquoi qu'elle est plus là Rachelle? et l'autre groupe il est mort?

bizarre tout ça...

enfin bon, vivement un extrait qu'on voit comment ils ont évolué (pour ma part je les aime tous les albums mais sans excès)

Ben ouais, comme tu dis, c'est bien le problème...
Mais à côté d'un Hate ou d'un Diabolical Summoning, ils font pas le poids... On dirait du sous-Sinister. Enfin c'est comme ça que je vois les choses; il m'est impossible d'écouter les deux derniers sans ressentir de la frustration... il manque un truc, c'est plus trop Sinister pour moi...

Entitled "Prophecies Denied" (view cover here), the set will be released in November as a standard DVD and a DVD+CD limited-edition package via Metal Mind Production.

SINISTER's latest CD, "Afterburner", was released earlier this year through Nuclear Blast Records.

SINISTER's current lineup consists of Aad Kloosterwaard, drummer and founder of the band, on vocals, Alex Paul on guitar, Paul Beltman (ex-JUDGEMENT DAY) on drums, and Bas van den Bogaard on bass.

The band, who re-signed with Nuclear Blast back in 2002 after a one-album stint with the now-defunct Hammerheart Records, have already announced the working title of their next album: "No Mercyful God".

MVD Visual has set a January 16, 2007 North American release date for the first-ever live DVD from Dutch death metallers SINISTER, entitled "Prophecies Denied". The disc was shot with seven cameras on August 24 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland and will be made available as a standard DVD and a DVD+CD limited-edition package. The DVD also includes an interview with the band’s frontman Aad Kloosterwaard and guitarist Alex Paul as well as a documentary, "Angels of the Apocalypse", plus rare footage.

Dutch death metallers SINISTER will release their new album, "The Silent Howling", on September 26 via Massacre Records. Check out the cover artwork at this location. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Silent Howling", "If It Bleeds...", "The Kill To Come" and "Fortified Bravery". The album will be recorded in May at Soundlodge Studio in Germany.

The digipack edition is limited to 1,000 copies. Entitled "Prophecies Denied", the material was previously released in December 2006 as SINISTER's the first-ever live DVD, also featuring an interview with the band's frontman Aad Kloosterwaard and guitarist Alex Paul as well as a documentary, "Angels of the Apocalypse", plus rare footage.

Dutch death metallers SINISTER will release their new album, "Legacy of Ashes", on December 10 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded at Soundlodge studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany with producer Jörg Uken (GOD DETHRONED, OBSCENITY). The band states, "Expect the most brutal and fast SINISTER album ever."

C'est bien le combo où la chanteuse à une voix d'un autre monde, à coté de laquelle Angela de Arch Enemy chante du lyrique ?
Si c'est eux, j'avais vu un show en 2003 avec Nile et No Return, et euh... elle m'a fait tres peur des qu'elle a ouvert la bouche, alors qu'elle m'avait paru toute douce en arrivant

Tu confondrais pas avec Silencer?

oui c'est eux Gandalf ! mais maintenant c'est plus elle au chant (elle a juste fait quelque années sauf erreur....dommage j'aurais bien voulu voir ça !)

Et voilà ce que j'avais mis sur ce groupe dans mon cr:

"Sur scène, Sinister me cloue sur place. Ben oui, quand je vois ce très joli petit bout de femme au micro, je me dis qu'au moins j'aurai le plaisir des yeux à défaut de plaisir musical… Tu parles Charles ! Quand elle a poussé ses premiers vocaux, j'ai cru que mes yeux me sortaient des orbites de surprise !!! Comment une si petite femme peut-elle proférer des paroles dans un timbre si guttural ?!! On aurait dit l'Exorciste du Metal !
La première stupeur passée, force m'est de reconnaître le peu d'intérêt musical... Pour moi c'est pas bon. Et le son ne fait rien pour corriger cette impression. La voix est trop en avant, allant jusqu'à couvrir la batterie pratiquement (ah ben c'est qu'elle s'économise pas la donzelle !!!), les guitares sont brouillonnes... Je craque au bout de quatre morceaux et je décroche de la salle pour aller tchatcher avec des connaissances.
N'empêche que le public assiste au set plus nombreux que précédemment, ca pogote un peu... C'est que ca doit plaire quelque part."

Rachel était dans Occult (les futurs Legion of The Damned) aussi.
J'aime bien certains combos de death batave (God Dethroned, Pestilence, Hail of Bullets etc etc...), mais ce groupe me laisse de marbre.

d'ailleurs en passant la période avec chanteuse est sûrement la moins bonne musicalement parlant. je conseillerais plutôt aux death metalleux de se pencher sur les 3 premiers, qui sont vraiment énorme (raaah cross the styx ) et les 2 derniers qui sont vraiment excellent aussi

Sinister c'était les 3 premiers opus avec mike au chant , apres y a eu agressive measure, la période rachel ou comment j 'obtient une grosse voix avec mes mains autour du micro et enfin la periode avec Aad mais plutôt a chier.

Si mike revient au chant ok sinon Sinister bye bye

Ah, je m'étais arrêté qu'à la première période avec le mec. Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait eu une nana après. Toutes mes confuses.

Les musiciens se barrent :

Guitarist Alex Paul, drummer Edwin van den Eeden and bassist Joost van der Graaf have left Dutch death metallers SINISTER. Vocalist Aad Kloosterwaard, who is the only remaining member of SINISTER, has vowed to relaunch the band with a brand new lineup and "let the SINISTER flame burn for some more years to come."

le bassiste est resté 6 mois...!
Dommage, les trois albums avec ce line-up offraient de très bons moments, même si le dernier était plutôt décevant.
