Le quartette de Crossover Thrash de Liverpool SSS (pour Short Sharp Shock), également présent au Hellfest cette année, s'ajoute aux 3 dates outre-Manche.
SSS are from Liverpool Uk and never has a “crossover” band been more aptly named as Short Sharp Shock
The band are uncompromising, delivering straight to the point music with no frills.
Born in 2005 and self releasing their “Burton” 7″ and self titled LP.
The band were picked up by Earache records and re-released the records in 2006
Both fans and the press got stuck in, and comparisons were being made to the greats – SOD, Slayer, Anthrax and early Suicidal Tendencies.
The track ‘Son Of Beast’ was used in an advert featuring pro-skater and long-time friend of the band Geoff Rowley for Independent Trucks.
2008 saw “the Dividing Line” rear its head in 2008 , the track list upped to 20 and a unique collaboration with Uk comedian Frank Sidebottom on the “Skate and Destroy” 7″
2011 and lp #3 entitled “Problems to the Answer” saw the mixture of hardcore/punk/grid/thrash pushed to the limit with 25 searing tracks.
Its their most abrasive record to date and features Mark “Barney” Greenway of Napalm Death on guest vocals.
Grindcore-length bursts of aggression? A hardcore punk attitude? Diverse thrash riffs and grooves? Look no further than SSS!

Pas grand chose à voir en terme de styles musicaux, mais je trouve ça pas mal dans le genre Stoner / Doom obscur HANGMAN'S CHAIR.

J'aime bien ce groupe, j'ai le premier EP que j'avais chopé en 2006-2007 quand j'écoutais encore pas mal de punk hardcore.
J'avais lu une chose sur ce disque, et j'ai retrouvé l'info sur le net, la face B de ce premier EP "is a 6min epic to the main 4 string axe thrasher Cliff Burton".

Comme je le dis souvent : facile de faire des bons concerts quand on a des bons morceaux.
Ils ont assuré comme des brutes avec leurs putains d'hymnes, et le cadre était excellent. Connaissais pas ce bar, c'est tout petit avec un son nickel. Ça joue super tard, font un peu ce qu'il veulent, ça ferme à pas d'heure. Le premier groupe a commencé à jouer à 22h00.
Limité à 150 places... et ils les ont même pas faites...
Les mecs de Xentrix sont vraiment cools et super détendus du fion en plus. Ils ont trouvé le public suisse hallucinant et super énergique . Apparemment pour leurs dates en UK c'était pas la grosse folie pendant leurs sets. Je leur ai bien entendu conseillé de jouer en Allemagne.
Ça fait trop du bien de se faire shatter l'existence en tout cas !!
