Brazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA have commenced the songwriting process for their next album, tentatively due in late 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Juste une question il y a des Defenders qui écoutent encore Sepultura de nos jours ? (sans Max Cavalera bien sur).De mon côté j'ai lâché après Roots.

Il me semble que le dernier en date, Kairos, avait plutôt été bien apprécié! Mais perso j'ai jamais été trop fan du groupe quel que soit le line up, même si ça m'empêche pas d'aimé des chansons comme Roots Bloody Roots...

le dernier que j'ai apprécié ben ouais c'est "Arise"....

J'aimais bien l'époque des 3 premiers albums mais d'après la prophécie, bientôt, Sepul tuera

Sinon, pour le sujet, j'avais chopé A-Lex à l'époque et j'avais bien aimé en fait !

Honte à moi.....

Perso je suis loin d'être un inconditionnel du groupe, mais j'accroche bien à la première partie de leur disco, en m'arrêtant à "Chaos A.D.", quoique le double live "Under A Pale Grey Sky" passe assez bien chez moi.

Mais j'avais écouté le dernier par curiosité avant le Thrashfest y a 2 ans, et je dois dire qu'il m'avait agréablement surpris.
Évidemment le disque n'est pas exceptionnel, et n'est pas du même niveau qu'un "Beneath The Remains", mais après plusieurs écoutes je le trouve plutôt bien ficelé, peut-être un peu trop dense de par ses 17 titres, dont des interludes dispensables et deux reprises pas forcément les plus à propos, mais costaud et efficace, un album qui remue comme il faut en fin de compte.

Cela étant, il faut être adepte des accents un poil groovy qui teintent leur musique, et qui contrastent avec leur Thrash d'origine, même si ce n'est plus une surprise pour personne.

Rien à redire quant à la prestation de Derrick Greene pour ma part, qui assure sur disque comme sur scène.

Legendary Brazilian metal icons Sepultura have revealed the cover artwork and tracklist of the band’s forthcoming album, “The mediator between head and hands must be the heart”, which is set for release on October 25, 2013 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The artwork was created by Brazilian artist Alexandre Wagner, who is specialized in charcoal drawing techniques.

Guitarist Andreas Kisser commented how he met the work of Alexandre Wagner. “It was an indication of Silvio Bibika, who was my roadie for a long time. He always shows me things in general that Sepultura might need. Alexandre, who is from Belo Horizonte, he showed me a year ago. So before we went to the United States, to record the album, I was at his house, to talk about the cover, tell him the album title, talk about the concept of the film Metropolis, so he could do something original. But when I saw the picture with the drawing, I thought it was all about what we wanted and we did not need something new.” “I asked him to do a tribal S on the cover style. In case the S made by Alexandre will be on the back cover”, Andreas added.

“This series of work in charcoal drawing I did when I still lived in Belo Horizonte, were all made there. Are quick drawings without much reference, almost an experimentation that may have came from a desire to use the most basic of basic materials – coal, paper and wood. The cover design was ready, Andreas saw and liked. We talked a little more and I also sent some other pictures for the booklet. I was pleased with the choice of the theme of the album, I like Fritz Lang very much and not to mention only Metropolis, Dr. Mabuse der Spieler is a fucking movie”, commented Alexandre.

Mineiro, from Belo Horizonte, like Sepultura, Alexandre was glad to be part of the band’s history. “Impossible beeing from Belo Horizonte and not know the band. Some of their albums followed me for a long time, especially Chaos AD. I remember seeing Refuse/Resist on TV and think that was wonderful. Ils auraient pu trouver un peu plus long comme titre quand même!

et un peu plus laid comme pochette aussi

Moi j'aime bien, même si je suis plus fan depuis un bail de ce qu'ils font en studio, de ce côté je préfère ça que beaucoup de trucs qu'on voit pour de nouvelles sorties de gros groupes aujourd'hui, avec de la pseudo 3D etc.

MANOWAR aurait pu titrer : "The mediator between head and feet must be the balls of steel".

C'est clair que le titre est vraiment pas terrible, il aurait pu facilement faire mieux ou plus long ... La cover est déjà mieux que le dernier album c'est déjà ça !

c'est juste pas pour moi ce type de morceau, que vient foute la reprise de death la dessus - aurais pu faire une reprise de Youth of today ou Ludichrist ca aurait mieux collé
