Dutch thrashers LEGION OF THE DAMNED have announced the track listing for "Feel the Blade", a reissue of the the "Elegy for the Weak" CD originally released under the band's previous moniker OCCULT. Due on January 4, 2008 via Massacre Records, the new version of the LP will contain two new songs that didn't appear on the original "Elegy for the Weak" album, a new cover and a bonus DVD.

Commented the band: "'Feel the Blade' comes from an album that OCCULT once released under the name 'Elegy for the Weak'. We as band strongly believe that this album belongs to the LEGION OF THE DAMNED category and since the album is hard to get we will re-release it. Of course there may always be people out there who were able to buy an 'Elegy for the Weak' copy for 10 or 15 euros, but we put so much effort into this new release that even if you own a copy of the 'Elegy for the Weak' album, this is still worth buying. It will not only have the 'Elegy for the Weak' recording remastered but also two new songs and a cover song, plus a 127-minute-long bonus DVD.
"This CD will come in three versions. One normal jewel-case version, one limited digipack version (with DVD) and one exclusive for Amazon made version DVD format with six free cards and sticker. The DVD will also have an embossed cover. This last version will only come in 1,000 pieces and only available through Amazon worldwide."

Sympa ce groupe, mais je préférais vraiment OCCULT (surtout l'album avec Rachel, qui deviendra par la suite la chanteuse attitrée de SINISTER)

J'ai bien aimé le dernier album (Merci Pierre ), même si il était un poil linéaire. Enfin, c'est clair que ça thrashe sévère!

J'ai acquis cet album, c'est une tuerie ! LEGION OF THE DAMNED sont pour moi les dignes successeurs du grand SLAYER de "Reign in blood", et les nouveaux SODOM. Rien que ça.

L'ordre de la tracklist a changé, et les nouveaux titres sont à la fin, tels des bons tracks normaux (plus une reprise de Pestilence).
Elegy for the weak avait une versio limitée avec un bonus track qui, lui, n'apparait pas sur Feel the blade

Le groupe LEGION OF THE DAMNED est actuellement en studio avec Peter Tägtgren pour enregistrer son nouvel album intitulé "Descend Into Chaos". Sortie prévue début 2011 via Massacre Records.

Je sais pas si ça va intéresse beaucoup de monde, mais un 6ème album des néerlandais est prévu pour le 26 juillet prochain (chez Napalm Records).
Le groupe dévoile la pochette par petit bout, façon puzzle :
An update from the band states: "Hereby we would like to start showing you our new album cover in a countdown jigsaw puzzle. The album will be entitled Ravenous Plague and is set to be released on July 26th on Napalm Records.
The band is genuinely proud to announce that composer and mastermind Jo Blankenburg has written a piece for this album as well, exclusively for Legion Of The Damned. Jo Blankenburg is a German composer based in Los Angeles. He writes music for film and motion picture advertising. Some of his most popular tracks have been used in the advertising campaigns of The Hunger Games, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, X-Men: First Class, and How To Train Your Dragon among many others. If you are into soundtrack and trailer music, we highly recommend you to check out his album Elysium!
The band is on schedule in the studio with finishing the bass tracks, vocals are on the planning next week."
As previously reported, Ravenous Plague is being recorded with none other than master producer Andy Classen (TANKARD, KRISIUN, HOLY MOSES) at the Stage One Studio in Germany. Andy produced their albums Feel The Blade, Malevolent Rapture, Sons Of The Jackal and Cult Of The Dead. The band's latest album, Descent Into Chaos was produced by Peter Tägtgren in Sweden at the Abyss studio.

En revanche concernant le groupe, que j'ai jamais écouté d'ailleurs... J'ai toujours entendu dire que du mal sur eux, pourquoi ça? Si jamais du monde connait ici, que faut-il écouté pour se donner une idée du groupe?

Moi, j'aime bien ce groupe!! J'adore la voix du chanteur, bien agressive et maléfique, les riffs thrashs sont excellents; le point n oir pour moi c'est l'absence de soli de guitare et une certaine linéarité qui fait que j'écoute les albums que de temps à autre et rarement plusieurs fois de suite.

Legion Of The Damned have finally shared the cover art that will grace their new opus Ravenous Plague. With the album set for release on December 20th, 2013 through Napalm Records, take a look below at the cover which was painted by Wes Bensecoter (Kreator). It is quite putrid.
Previously, the thrash/death metal band released the track "Summon All Hate" set to appear on the album and it is still streaming here.

Bah, ça donne l'impression d'être les mêmes morceaux que ceux des albums précédents. ...du coup, je lâche l'affaire, personnellement. Je les ai suivi sur trois albums, mais maintenant c'est trop redondant.
Cela dit, le morceau "sumon all hate" déboite bien comme il faut quand même.
