HELLOWEEN/ex-PINK CREAM 69 frontman Andi Deris has lancuhed a brand new project called ANDI DERIS & BAD BANKERS. Says Andi: "It's been years I was looking for a band (all over the planet) that I could actually ask to record an album with me, only to find it on the little island I live on just a few months ago. Even more thrilling is the fact that the guys are between 19 and 22 years old. You won't believe it when you listen to the songs! "We all had and have a lot of fun with the image, even more during the photo session. "Obviously, we despise everything around banks, managers and bankers who are clearly responsible for the shit that goes on nowadays (and most certainly in our future), so it felt very good to vocally tell them what we think about them. Sure, therefore it's highly explicit, but, who gives a f... that's what they deserve, and it helps the music to really kick some ass."

J'aime bien le concept Et puis j'aime bien la voix d'Andi Deris aussi, je suis curieux de le voir dans un autre registre qu'Helloween, moi je dis pas non

Bonne nouvelle! je fais partie de ceux qui apprécie beaucoup la voix du bonhomme ainsi que ses 2 albums solo (surtout le premier, bourré de ballades imparables et pas cul-cul pour un sous)

HELLOWEEN singer Andi Deris has returned with his first solo album since 1999. Not so much a solo effort in its original sense, but recorded in a band envoirement to achieve a real band feeling, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" will be released on November 22 via earMUSIC.

Written and composed by Andi Deris himself, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" has a crispy, modern sound to it. The diverse, high-class production is snotty, dirty and brutally honest and is described in a press release as "a healthy mixture of HELLOWEEN's recent records combined with 'Master Of The Rings' tradition (Andi's first HELLOWEEN album)."

Recorded together with his band BAD BANKERS, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" sees Deris criticizing the economic system and its corruption. Although the topic may seem a bit dull, the heavy guitar riffs and Deris' recognizable voice clearly make a point: "fuck banks, fuck managers, fuck bankers." He explains: "Obviously we despise everything around banks, managers and bankers who are clearly responsible for the shit that goes on nowadays (and most certainly in our future), so it felt very good to vocally tell them what we think about them. Sure, therefore it's highly explicit but hey… who gives a fuck? That's what they deserve... and it helps the music to really kick some ass."

Ca sonne bien !

La description dans la promo ne correspond pas du tout à ce que je viens d'entendre, mais c'est pas mal groovy!

En effet. Ca reste néanmoins plus proche mélodiquement de certains trucs qu'il pourrait faire avec Helloween que ce qu'il avait fait sur son précédent "Done with mirror" où il s'était détaché totalement du heavy rock (mais qui comportait des trucs intéressants).

Ca me rappelle un peu le genre de titres qu'il avait enregistré sur son dernier album avec Pink Cream 69.

Franchement pas mauvais cet extrait du nouvel album! Bon je suis fan du bonhomme, qui est pour moi un chanteur à la voix exceptionnelle et un frontman extraordinaire!!

J'aimerai bien le réentendre interpréter des titres des 3 premiers albums de Pink Cream 69. Ils sont vraiment excellents ses disques.

Pas mal, un peu rêche dans le son, mais pas mal.

Le son est vraiment bon, sur internet il est un peu dénaturé.
Première écoute de l'album et déjà une excellente impression.
Un album assez varié et plutôt orienté heavy rock.
Certains titres auraient pu finalement attérir sur un album de Helloween (calé entre 2 morceaux de speed). Du coup on est pas complètement dépaysé.
Et l'album me rappelle vraiment "Games People play" de Pink Cream 69.
