Swedish metal veterans ENTOMBED have inked a deal with Century Media Records. The band's tenth album, "Back To The Front", will be released on October 29 (one day earlier internationally). The CD was recorded at Studio Bohus (ABBA, EUROPE) in Kungälv, Sweden with producer Roberto Laghi (IN FLAMES, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR). The cover artwork was painted by Zbigniew Bielak (WATAIN, VADER) and can be seen below.

A press release states: "Don't be afraid that it will sound like ABBA — it's 666% true to the ENTOMBED everybody loves. While not falling for total regression back to the early classics 'Left Hand Path' or 'Clandestine', expect a total bone-crushing opus that will have fans of 'Wolverine Blues', 'To Ride…' or 'Morning Star' cry tears of joy. From the morbid, pissed-off lyrics over detuned, massive riffs to the inimitable brick-heavy groove and L.G. Petrov's titanic roar, 'Back To The Front' has it all, so get ready for a stone-cold stunner!"

Comments singer L.G. Petrov: "After almost seven years of studio absence, we are back with a new album called 'Back To The Front' ready to blow metalheads away around this world! Feels great to announce this deal with Century Media! Can't wait to let you all be a part of it!" Adds Jens Prüter, head Of A&R at Century Media Records Europe: "I first saw ENTOMBED in 1992 on the Gods Of Grind tour and was blown away by their merciless sound that was even back then more than just death metal. Over 20 years later, they still kick ass and we are more than proud to finally welcome them to the Century Media family."

ENTOMBED recently teamed up with PledgeMusic to launch a reissue campaign for some of their albums. In early 2012, Threeman Recordings, which is owned and run by members of ENTOMBED, launched a collaboration with Ninetone Records. The first release under this arrangement was a single for the re-recorded version of the song "Amok" from ENTOMBED's 2007 album, "Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments", produced by Patrik Frisk (CORRODED).

"Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments" was released in the U.S. on July 31, 2007 via Candlelight/Threeman Recordings. The 10-song effort marked the group's first release with drummer Olle Dahlstedt (ALPHA SAFARI, ex-MISERY LOVES CO.), who replaced Peter Stjärnvind in 2006. Mastering duties were handled by Soren Elofsson at Cosmos Mastering in Stockholm, Sweden. "Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments" entered the Swedish national chart at position No. 3. This was the highest chart position in the band's career. The current lineup of ENTOMBED features Victor Brandt (TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER, AEON, SATYRICON) and second guitarist Nico Elgstrand (who previously played bass for the group).

A peine parti, Hellid remontera sur scène avec le line-up de Clandestine pour l'interpréter en entier.

Original ENTOMBED members Alex Hellid (guitar), Ulf "Uffe" Cederlund (guitar) and Nicke Andersson (drums) will rejoin forces to perform the band's classic second album, "Clandestine" (1991), on February 1, 2014 at Gävle Konserthus in Gävle, Sweden. They will be backed by the 65-piece Gävle Symphonic Orchestra and a 40-piece choir.

Says Alex: "We will be performing 'Clandestine' as arranged by Thomas Von Wachenfeldt and it will be the first time in 17 years that me, Uffe and Nicke play together again as ENTOMBED.

"We are all very excited to start working on this project and look forward to see where it'll take us!"

Swedish metal veterans ENTOMBED are among twelve artists who have been selected as the inaugural inductees in the Swedish Music Hall Of Fame.

The artists were chosen because they all made "lasting contributions to Swedish music," organizers said in Thursday's (February 6) announcement.

"We want to act a bit like teachers, and demonstrate the history and significance of Swedish music," said music journalist Jan Gradvall, chairman of the three-person jury that picked the Swedish Music Hall Of Famers.

"We want to build bridges between genres and generations and give Swedish music the place it deserves," he added, according to The Local.

Other inductees include pop superstars ABBA, pop duo ROXETTE, punk rockers EBBA GRÖN, and jazz singer Monica Zetterlund.

Original ENTOMBED members Lars Göran Petrov (vocals) and Alex Hellid (guitar) attended Thursday's press conference announcing the first set of Swedish Music Hall Of Fame inductees.

En attendant la sortie de l'album, "Wolverine Blues" est ré-édité en vinyl :

Century Media Records has issued the following announcement about re-issuing "Wolverine Blues" from Entombed:

"Where 'Left Hand Path' and 'Clandestine' helped define a genre and launch a sound, 'Wolverine Blues' was the foundation that Entombed laid down for a new style in extreme music altogether.

"Here we can hear the beginnings of what would be coined as Death & Roll. Forever influential and chock-full of that sought after guitar tone, 'Wolverine Blues' is a must-have for anyone who considers themselves a fan of underground music.

"This classic album has been re-envisioned, pressed on blood red wax with black marbling and spread across two 10" LPs, with side four being an etching of the now iconic Skull & Bones symbol. Inside the double gatefold jacket, there is also an array of bonus material, including: (1) the album lyrics, (2) a classic collage of photos from this era of Entombed, and (3) a collectible 20"x20" double-sided poster.

"Limited to 500 copies worldwide, this Wolverine Blues double 10" LP will disappear fast! Please visit CM Distro to purchase your copy."

The track listing is as follows:

Side A:
1. Eyemaster
2. Rotten Soil
3. Wolverine Blues
4. Demon

Side B:
1. Contempt
2. Full Of Hell
3. Blood Song

Side C:
1. Hollowman
2. Heaven's Die
3. Out Of Hand

Side D:
