Leur batteur se barre pour rejoindre Sabaton qui ont davantage le vent en poupe :

Hannes Van Dahl stated on Evergrey's Facebook page: "Time for a needed explanation, time has come for me to move in new musical directions and I have no intentions what so ever of stopping playing drums or touring, Rather the opposite. I was asked by our friends in Sabaton to join them as a full time member and this feels like the right thing to do, and first and foremost what I want do to! This is a decision which everyone respects and there's no bad blood from any side.

I am forever grateful to the four years I've had with Evergrey, all the things I have learned, all the places we've visited and all the wonderful people I've worked with and gotten to know. I wish them nothing but the best in the future! Evergrey have a new album coming out next year, even though I am not playing I am super stoked to pick it up when it's out! To Tom Englund, Rikard Zander, Marcus Jidell and Johan Niemann: faaaakkkk joooo! I love you guys! See you on the road..."

Je viens de voir que Marcus Jidell (guitares), a également quitté le groupe (pour rejoindre Avatarium)...

Even though it has been a very turbulent ride I am very thankful for the years with Evergrey and I wish Tom and the band all the best.

I also feel ready for new interesting musical challenges and meetings.

Bring on the music!!

Pas forcément en 2 jours, je ne sais pas quand ça a eu lieu exactement, mais ce n'est clairement pas bon en effet, signe que le groupe n'est plus très actif...

Il semblerait que Henrik Danhage et Jonas Ekdahl ont joué avec le groupe en Belgique il y' a une dizaine de jours. Donc les 2 vont peut être revenir dans le groupe.

Yep ca confirme ce que disaient les membres sur le fait que ce serait un vrai groupe qui ne resterait pas au stade de simple projet studio.

Le groupe a signé chez AFM Records, le nouveau line-up sera bientôt dévoilé :

Englund checks in from Division Two Studios, Sweden: "I am sitting here in what feels like the black heart of distorted guitars and heavy drums trying to sort what material to be chosen for the new Evergrey album that will be brought to you by our new record label AFM! While the music might be the most contemplated and dark pieces we have written - and while the sheer amount of music we have the pleasure to choose from is more than ever, we are super psyched and pleased to have chosen a label that believes in Evergrey!

AFM are certain that we have a lot more to contribute to the world of music and we can promise you that they are right. On top of that it is about damn time that our fans get some new and fresh metal!

While we at this moment are hindered to speak about the new members - this will be totally understandable when we announce it - they are known to some people and some might never have heard of them BUT we can tell you that they are as excited as the rest of us and have already brought in 50% of the material written so this album will be a 100% band effort!

We will release two singles, one complemented with a video produced by our bud Patric Ullaeus and Revolver.se. We will also film our every step of the recording process for you to enjoy at a continuous and steady pace on our different social media channels making this the most accessible album we have made to date. Cool, mais il serait temps qu'ils annoncent les nouveaux membres, parce que tout le monde croit qu'il s'agit du retour de ceux partis il y a quelques années. Or, si jamais ce n'est pas le cas, ça va se retourner contre eux...

J'ai découvert le groupe avec le superbe In Search Of Truth.

Puis enchainé avec le fabuleux Recreation Day.

Grand fan déçu (et perdu) après le très bon The Inner Circle.

Changement incessant de line up, manque de cohésion, compos faiblardes...

Englund va devoir faire très très fort pour relancer la carrière de son groupe !

Un vrai bon album et un retour de quelques membres (et piliers importants eux aussi du groupe) est vital pour la survie d'Evergrey.

Wait & Hear & See.

Tu as cité les deux albums qui leurs ont permis d'accéder au statut de groupe reconnu dans la sphère du Heavy, à savoir Récreation day & inner circle

La preuve en est donné par le très bon DVD "a night to remember"

et leur participation aux gods of metal de 2005 !
Malheureusement ils ont pas réussi à concrétiser par la suite..., dommage parce que les groupes suédois en "vogue " tels Sabaton et consort c'est beaucoup moins bien musicalement parlant

Effectivement le live "A night to Remember" est un superbe 'best of' du groupe.
J’attendais sa sortie avec impatience et je n'ai pas été déçu.

A cette époque Evergrey était au top a tous les niveaux (line up, compos,son) malheureusement ce fut pour une des dernières fois...

Grosse claque ce live.
