A noter que le groupe va laisser les fans choisir les titres qu'ils veulent entendre.
"After spending the better part of the last couple of years making our film 'Through The Never', we are so ready to make another album... It's been far too long! And when we're locked away in the studio, history has dictated that we always need that inspirational break to soak up all the great live METALLI-energy that you guys bring to the gigs. So as we may have done once or twice before (!!), we will be hitting the road this summer, but not just for another 'European vacation'... we've added a twist — YOU PICK THE SET LIST!!
"As we embark on two short treks through Europe, we're going to give you, the ticket holders, the chance to vote on what songs you would like to hear at the show(s) that you attend. It will be pretty simple... pick up your ticket(s) online and you'll receive an e-mail shortly after with a code and a link to a site on which you may cast your ballot. We normally play around 18 songs a night, and since we didn't want to be left out of the fun, the band also gets to vote . . . and we vote for a NEW SONG! That leaves the other 17 slots for you to choose, so vote for all your favorites from the close to 140 songs we've recorded in our career and to make it more fun along the way, you'll be able to follow what you and your fellow fans are selecting by watching the site for continuous results.

Jamais dis ça, mais que penses-tu sincèrement que les gens vont voter vu le public qu'ils ont?
Au contraire, je trouve qu'ils sont assez doués pour faire leurs set-lists eux-même. On va leur laisser ça!

Honnetement je ne suis pas sur que les fans touristiques de "Nothing else matters" suivent l'activité du groupe sur le net.
Au contraire des vrais fans. Y a donc moyen d'avoir quelques belles perles.
En même temps, quand on a vu plusieurs fois le groupe, on doit avouer qu'on a JAMAIS eu la même setlist
Et Orion c'est tres rare qu'ils la jouent...

Ca a pas été déjà fait ce truc du vote de la set-list (peut-être par Exodus sinon?) et au final donné justement tout à fait ca, rien de nouveau? Une perle ou deux je dis pas, mais à mon avis, ces morceaux là vont difficilement y couper quand même...

Metallica n'a pas besoin de ce genre de démagogie pour faire peuple. Ils feront toujours les choses comme ils le sentent au final. Je ne crois absolument pas à ce genre de pseudo sondage.

Pour moi ça n'aurait d'intérêt que si le groupe avait encore en stock dans son répertoire des titres jamais joués et réclamés par les fans.
Or depuis des années, ils ont pas mal fait tourner les titres de leurs 5 premiers albums, voire même joués les albums entièrement, donc du coup, l'intérêt est plus que limité.
Pour un groupe comme Judas, Maiden ou Megadeth ça en vaudrait la peine, mais Metallica.....

Encore Metallica, après plusieurs années sans les voir,on se les tape maintenant tous les six mois.
Heureusement, leur prestations reste interessantes mais quand même trop de monde a leurs concert.
