On en parle déjà dans le topic concerts, le groupe anglais se produira au Brofest et au prochain Keep It True, mais prévoit aussi des sorties studios :
Vardis were/are influenced by every musical force known to mankind to create a unique and lasting sound. Steve Zodiac walked away from the music business in 1986 never to return until now! 27 years later Vardis are re-united and will play selected shows. They have also scheduled 2 Album releases for 2014.
Excellent groupe, c’est quand même énorme de sortir un live en 1er album , je ne crois pas qu'un autre groupe est déjà fait cela. Une belle discographie, j'je suis impatient d’entendre la suite

En France, STOCKS l'a fait également en 1982 (et quel album ! ).
Justement, ce live de VARDIS, je l'ai trouvé en LP il y a quelques jours, écouté une seule fois pour le moment, bonne impression.

idem, pas pour le brofest je ne pourrai pas être là mais au KIT. J'ai grandi avec 100 mph que j'ai chopé en occasion dans les années 80, plusieurs années après avec l'avenement d'internet je me suis pris les autres LP du groupe moins fréquents par chez nous. Sauf Vigilante que je l'ai toujours pas.
Je me souviens que la mention "guarantee no overdubs" sur la pochette du live avait fait une forte impression sur moi, je sortais du Priest Live et World wide Live où tout avait été refait en studio et que je n'aimais pas du tout. Et là on avait un groupe qui mentionnait en gros sur la pochette "live pas trafiqué".

Le remplaçant de Terry Horbury, décédé fin 2015, est Martin Connolly :
We are very lucky to be able to welcome Martin Connolly to the band. Despite knowing Vardis would continue, after losing Terry so suddenly it took some time before we could consider playing with another bassist. By the time we were ready, the job required someone with the musicianship and experience not only to maintain the power of our live shows but to form a tight chemistry quickly. Martin has been in the business for 40 years, playing bass for Rick Wakeman and Paul Fox, releasing two albums with hard rockers ‘Scarlet’, performing on Nicko McBrain’s ‘Rhythms of the Beast’ and as The Entire Population of Hackney with Iron Maiden, FM and the rest of Marshall Fury. After just one rehearsal we knew we wouldn’t need to see anyone else, Martin is a top bassist and has brought a new dimension and fresh energy to Vardis as we rebuild to get the show back on the road this year. Thank you all for your support and patience, we are proud to rock on with you in tribute to a man whose life was music.

Un album complet cette fois, sortira en mai chez SPV.
After a 30 year wait the fifth Vardis album, Red Eye, will be available worldwide on 20/05/16 on Coloured Red Vinyl LP, Digipack CD and iTunes.
We can finally reveal the cover art, painted by acclaimed artist Graham Humphreys, who has previously produced artwork for Hammer Studios and posters for Nightmare on Elm Street, Basket Case, The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II.
