La 5ème édition va faire escale en Jamaïque :

Well, the cat is out of the bag! Next year's 70000 Tons Of Metal has unveiled the itinerary for next year's cruise! Round 5 of the World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise will leave Ft. Lauderdale on January 22nd and head to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and venture back to Ft. Lauderdale on January 26th.

Just shortly after naming the first three bands: Blind Guardian, Arch Emeny and Ensiferum to the 2015 installment of 70,000 Tons of Metal, promoters UMC kept the momentum going with five more bands: Chimaira, Heathen, Threshold, Annihilator and Equilibrium.

A noter que pour le concert d'Annihilator, ils ont invité Coburn Pharr, le chanteur de Never Neverland!

Pharr was lead vocalist on Annihilator's 1990 release “Never, Neverland,” which includes classics such as “Road To Ruin,” “I Am In Command,” “Reduced To Ash,” and “Phantasmagoria.”

Waters comments: “Seeing as how it is the 25th Anniversary of my favorite Annihilator album, I thought it would be a lot of fun to invite Coburn with us to perform some of the songs he was a part of. I haven’t seen him since 1992 so I think the fans are going to spot us having lots of conversations about the old days (and my 80's hair style)! Current Aannihilator vocalist Dave Padden is very much looking forward to this as he is a huge fan of that album and Coburn, but also because he won’t have to play and sing those songs hahaha...!”

Et sinon pour résumer : si t'as beaucoup d'argent de côté (compter un budget d'environ 1600€ pour l'aller-retour à Miami, la croisière de 4 jours ainsi que 4 jours de tourisme supplémentaires à Miami) et que tu as envie de te payer une fois dans ta vie une croisière de luxe en mer des caraïbes avec profusion de bouffe, petite escale dépaysante et plein de groupes de métôle dont tu peux croiser les musicos sur le bateau sans filtre et bien n'hésite pas, tu ne le regretteras pas!

Par contre je trouve que pour la première édition en 2011 l'affiche était assez exceptionnelle, les éditions suivantes sont moins intéressantes mais quoiqu'il en soit c'est une super expérience à vivre.

tu ne pourras pas te moquer impunément du METAL éternellement...
