Swedish doom metal band ISOLE has completed work on its new album, "Silent Ruins", at the group's own Studio Apocalypse for a late February/early March release via Napalm Records. According to a press release, "ISOLE makes use of clean vocals, slo-mo grooves, and melodies in the minor keys. Fans of CANDLEMASS, SOLITUDE AETERNUS, or early ANATHEMA and MY DYING BRIDE will not be disappointed."

According to a press release, "Silent Ruins" "continues to forge forth in the tradition of [ISOLE's] previous albums. The Swedes once again indulge in their heart-sickened and somber brand of doom metal that only finds solace in a perfectly placed portion of deadly black epic. Profound compositions, hypnotic arrangements, and heavy flowing riffs, that not unlike molten lava slowly yet inexorably pull the listener down into its depths, are the core elements comprising this album. Gustavo Sazes (FIREWIND, SERENITY) once again lends his artistic know-how to graphically convey a feeling of utter despair and isolation, while Peter In de Betou (AMON AMARTH, DRACONIAN, ARCH ENEMY) takes on the darkly work's mastering responsibilites. Rarely before have hopelessness and despair found such an elegant and becoming sound, making 'Silent Ruins' a dark jewel that will not only appeal to the die-hard doom metal fan."

je me suis pas encore pris le précédent que le suivant est déjà en route....j'ai trop de CD en retard moi.

bon ça y est je me suis rattrapé à l'occasion du DOOM OVER PARIS dimanche soir.
Je me suis pris leur deux derniers opus, et y a de biens bons titres dessus.
Notamment FROM THE DARK(un sample écoutable en lien en post ci dessus) qui file la chair de poule en live je vous dis pas.

Je salive !! Isole est pour moi un de ces groupes découverts sur le tard grâce au net, j'ai vite acheté et me suis régalé avec leurs 4 premiers albums. VIvement !

perso j'ai jamais accroché,je trouve ce groupe plat et sans saveur.

tu mérites donc que je te fesse séant à coup de trique ou de matraque


J'aime beaucoup les ambiances qui se dégagent de leurs albums, le chant tour à tour calme, théâtral, éthéré, liturgique. Hormis ça, les compos assurent.

Comment résister à notamment ces titres là extraits des derniers albums ?

Toujours ce savoir faire suédois dans le genre.

Je n'aime pas du tout le son de guitare, pas adapté au style. Vocalement, c'est très bon.

After revealing details for their upcoming studio album Dystopia, doom metal representatives Isole now premiere the first single "Written In The Sand", now available for listening. Dystopia will be out on August 23rd via Hammerheart Records.
