Clair, j'attends un retour d'interview d'ailleurs.

Le guitariste (qui est aussi dans Trenchrot) à dépanné Vektor il y a peu en tournée.

Ouaip et le chanteur de Crypt Sermon (Brooks Wilson) est aussi guitariste dans Trenchrot il me semble.

Ouaip, très belle surprise, très Candlemass. Je m'y suis justement intéressé parce qu'il y a 2 mecs des excellents Trenchrot dedans.

très sympa ce groupe, je me le suis pris pour la pochette bien kitchouille et pas déçu! c'est un copier/coller de Candlemass/Solitude Aeturnus mais ça passe bien

Crypt Sermon Unveil “De Mysteriis Doom Sathanas” Via Decibel Flexi Series!

"OK, that track title is not a typo. If you know anything about Philly trad doom merchants Crypt Sermon, then this re-interpretation of the Mayhem classic shouldn’t be a complete shock, but that doesn’t make this new recording any less stunning. Sayeth drummer Enrique Sagarnaga:

"Crypt Sermon are extremely proud to unveil the new Decibel Flexi track, "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas." This track, a doom/heavy metal take on Mayhem's classic album closer, is an indicator of the sounds and ideas going into the writing our of second album. To say that the original version of this track made a massive impact on all of us would be an understatement. While this is, without a doubt. sacred territory, we wanted to pay homage to, arguably, the best black metal song of all time.

"For the recording of this track, he continues, "we've once again enlisted the services of Arthur Rizk (Sumerlands, Power Trip and more), and have also worked with the incomparable T.T. (Abigor) for all of the choirs and vocals in Latin. We are extremely grateful to both guys and look forward to working with them in the near future."

Hopefully, this will satiate those hungry for the follow-up the Crypt Sermon’s 2015 Decibel Top 40-cracking debut Out of the Garden (the band is currently in writing mode with eyes towards a new full-length LP later this year). Cool, j'avis bien apprécié le premier album

Avec cet album je trouve qu'ils ne sont plus très loin de rejoindre le haut du panier des Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, Solstice, DoomSword, Trouble et compagnie.
J'attends le 3ème album, celui de la confirmation, pour pousser jusque là. En attendant c'est très réussi dans l'ensemble, assez varié et suffisamment travaillé pour sortir du lot.

Quelques détails :
- sur "The Snake Handler" le (très bon) chanteur sonne un peu différemment des autres chansons, presque comme... Mustaine (!?)
- "Christ is Dead" envoie du bois sur Golgotha, ils ont juste mixé un peu trop haut les ohohoh à mon goût
- "Beneath the Torchfire Glare" serait du Solitude Aeturnus à 100% si on mettait Robert Lowe dessus, mais elle est excellente
- les interludes sont bien foutues, mais 2 à la suite ce n'était pas forcément nécessaire

Faudra que je me le repasse à l'occasion car j'avais essayé 2-3 fois mais j'ai eu du mal à rentrer dedans.

yep j'irais même plus loin que Flo, pour moi ils ont pondu avec ce deuxième album, un des meilleurs albums de Doom des années 2010, je le trouve bien en dessus du premier. J'espère qu'ils confirmeront, c'est le groupe du genre qui m'intéresse le plus en ce moment. Je trouve que le chant est vraiment plus profond et les compositions bien plus puissantes avec ces petites accélérations qui tuent. Enfin du bon Candlemass/Solitude Aeturnus quoi

Je me joins au concert de louanges. Un peu de mal au début avec ce 2ème album puis la révélation, tout aussi bien que le 1er. Très Candlemass c'est sûr mais le chanteur apporte un charme particulier certain.

Pareil ici. Mr ChaNoir a accroché dès le premier album, perso pas du tout. Celui-ci par contre navigue à des lieues au-dessus de son prédécesseur

Le premier titre était excellent, celui là également. J'aime bien cette prise de risque à lorgner sur le prog'. Cela s'annonce tout bon pour moi.
