Riot on Mars devait être à l'origine le projet solo du bassiste Barry Sparks (entre autres : ex-Dokken, ex-Michael Schenker Group, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-Cosmosquad parmi tous les groupes auxquels il est crédité).
Il y tient cependant tous les instruments à l'exception du chant confié à Vescera, qui a lui aussi un background pas vilain (Fatal Force, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-Loudness, etc.).
