Après les concerts, place à un premier album chez NB Entertainment :
After successful appearances at sea on Motörhead’s Motörboat and Shiprocked as well as an unforgettable show before NAMM in Anaheim this past January, Metal Allegiance has signed their first-ever record deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The worldwide deal stems from the popular musical collective uniting to write and record original material this past winter.
Brought together by Metal Allegiance principal partner Mark Menghi, the original material came together from the creative minds of David Ellefson of Megadeth, Mike Portnoy of The Winery Dogs, and Alex Skolnick from Testament alongside Menghi. The four writers then reached out through their metal rolodexes to a diverse lineup of performers, each adding their own personal musical stamp to the collection of 9 original songs. More information on the performers and individual track lineups will be released in the near future. The debut album from Metal Allegiance is slated for release this fall.

Cela ressemble pas mal au projet Roadrunner United sorti il y a quelques années, dans l'idée, voire même dans les protagonistes.
Concernant le titre posté, c'est du Testament correct même si pas hyper inspiré je trouve, avec une intro à la Slayer, mais tout est parfaitement exécuté.
Mike Portnoy ne fait pas semblant derrière ses futs, on dirait qu'il joue un peu à la Lombardo.

Non franchement la liste des musicos est impressionnante certes, mais derrière je comprends pas trop le principe en fait. De toutes façons j'aime pas les compils...

La reprise de We rock me fait penser a un "Hear n aids" version 2015 avec plein de chanteurs et de guitaristes differents.
Pour l'anecdote il existe une version made in corée plutôt sympa de Hear n aids avec pleins de zicos provenant de différents groupes

Un EP hommage à Lemmy, David Bowie, et Glenn Frey va sortir.
Metal Allegiance ont annoncé la sortie d'un nouvel EP intitulé »Fallen Heroes«, prévu pour le 12 août prochain. Le groupe se rassemble afin de rendre hommage à trois légendes de la musique, Lemmy Kilmister Motörhead, David Bowie, et Glenn Frey.
Enregistré aux Conclave Studios (New York), “Fallen Heroes” a été produit par Mark Menghi et Alex Skolnick, mixé par Jay Ruston à Los Angeles puis masterisé au Sterling Sound (New York) par Ted Jensen. Le concept de la couverture est signé Mark Menghi et Stephen Thompson (ANTHRAX) et finalisé par Marcelo Vasco Arts (SLAYER).

Le premier extrait montre que Blitz et Skolnick fonctionnent bien ensemble.
METAL ALLEGIANCE — with its four core members: David Ellefson (MEGADETH), Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT), Mike Portnoy (THE WINERY DOGS, ex-DREAM THEATER) and Mark Menghi — began as a celebration of heavy metal, powered by the almost tribal bond shared between the extreme music community's most revered trailblazers, armed with a list of contributors onstage (and off) that read like a Wikipedia entry on the genre itself.
The band will release its sophomore album, "Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty", on September 7 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The thrash-worshiping disc merges old-school legends with the modern metallers of the scene to produce groove-driven, adrenaline-soaked anthems while tackling the frustrating state of the world.
Guest musicians on "Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty" include Trevor Strnad (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER), John Bush (ARMORED SAINT), Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (OVERKILL), Mark Tornillo (ACCEPT), Max Cavalera (SOULFLY), Floor Jansen (NIGHTWISH) and Johan Hegg (AMON). The album also marks the return of Mark Oseguesda (DEATH ANGEL) and Troy Sanders (MASTODON).
The official video for the first single from the disc, "Mother Of Sin", featuring Ellsworth, can be seen below.
"Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty" was produced by Menghi and Skolnick while Mark Lewis of MRL Studios handled the mixing and mastering. The cover artwork was created by renowned artist Marcelo Vasco (SLAYER, MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY, HATEBREED) and Rafael Tavares.
