New album - update

Compared to 'Forced Entry' the 'Lightbringer' album is a
step in many directions for us. Forced Entry was a very straight
forward (in RAM terms) Heavy Metal album, Lightbringer is more
concept orientated and it displays an array of different themes
that are noticeable in songwriting, lyrics and throughout the production.

Including a horror mantra that features Mexican poet Adelaida Caballero
performing one of her profound, surrealistic and magick poems, this album
offers hard and heavy but quite unorthodox Heavy Metal songs that feature
many twists and different parts, along with melancholic and very melodic
pieces. E from the infamous Black Metal band Watain is featured on one
track which is A Modern Heavy Black Metal track and he lays down some
Sinister vocals indeed. Something as unusual as a metal horror opera,
'The Elixir' features a macabre tale in vein of Edgar Allan Poes work.
Our most epic track to date and also the longest RAM song ever recorded
is a song about the Battle at Suomussalmi in 1939 during the Finnish winter war.

RAM, the traditional Gothenburg, Sweden-based heavy metal band featuring Morgan Pettersson (ex-B-THONG), has inked a deal with Germany's AFM Records. The group's second album, "Lightbringer", is scheduled for release on June 19. The CD was produced by Johan Reivén and was mixed at Studio Bongo in the group's hometown. The follow-up to 2005's "Forced Entry" was mastered at Studio Bohus Mastering by Dragan Tanaskovic.

Swedish metallers RAM will release their third album, "Death", on January 30, 2012 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Welfare Sounds Studios in the group's hometown and was mastered by Dragan Tanaskovic at Bohus Sound.

Ram to release new song, announce October 30th release for 'Svbversvm' via Metal Blade Records!

Swedish heavy metal stalwarts, RAM, are ready to unleash their latest batch of Heavy Metal anthems to the masses! "Svbversvm" is the fourth studio LP and will be released the 30th of October via Mteal Blade Records worldwide. In Europe, it will be available as a limited CD/DVD digipak, as well as on CD and on vinyl!

In Europe, the limited first edition of "Svbversvm" will be released as a Digipak with a bonus DVD. The bonus DVD is titled "X Anniversary, a Decade of Heavy Metal Tyranny Concert" and was filmed on Friday, 13th of September 2013 at a hometown show in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Pas pour moi, je trouve que c'est leur meilleur! Ce n'était pas que du heavy à fond, des passages plus ambiancés, de longs titres, des riffs alambiqués : tout ce que l'on ne retrouve pas sur le titre en écoute Mais j'attends quand même cette sortie avec beaucoup d'impatience!

Swedish heavy metal crew Ram will release striking new album, "Rod," on November 3rd via Metal Blade Records. Check out a lyric video for the first single "Gulag" below.

Ram comments: "We are very proud to release our fifth studio album entitled 'Rod.' On this album for the first time ever we wrote a conceptual story over 6 songs, something that we always wanted to do but never got right. This album contains probably our most epic moments to date but it is still definitely heavy metal tyranny!"

Regarding the first single, Ram adds: "'Gulag' has a definite old-school European heavy metal vibe to it. The song shines a light on the hypocrisy of collectivism, and takes a stand for the one who lives and thinks for one self, not for ideology or dogmas of the masses. As one can see in the lyric video for the song most members of Ram were raised during the golden age of home computers!"
