l'album a été évoqué dans Hell on Stages sur la tournée de l'année prochaine mais pas de sujet n'a été créé ici.

En plus de Jorn Lande comme premier invité annoncé, Geoff Tate s'ajoute aux chanteurs du nouvel album annoncé pour janvier.

In January AVANTASIA's 7th studio album "GHOSTLIGHTS" will hit the stores. After Jorn Lande another guest star can be announced: Former QUEENSRYCHE-, and now OPERATION MINDCRIME vocalist GEOFF TATE!

+ Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids), pour l'album et la tournée.
Fans in Europe and Asia have already had the pleasure to see the Danish rocker on stage with the metal opera - now the whole world is going to get their share of Pretty Maids' powerhouse Ronnie Atkins.

He will not only appear on the new Avantasia album 'Ghostlights,' he will also join the massive all-star lineup on stage around the globe during the "Ghostlights" world tour 2016. The European tour will start in March, with tour dates in other parts of the world to be announced soon.

Avantasia continue to add new guests to the list of their new album. The German power metal band is working on a new record and have now announced that Marco Hietala will also be a guest on Ghostlights. He is known, of course, as the bassist/vocalist from Tarot and Nightwish. Furthermore, Robert Mason of Lynch Mob and Warrant fame can been confirmed to sing on the new album as well. You can grab the album on January 29th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records.

EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet's AVANTASIA project will release a new digital single, "Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose", on December 11. The song is taken from AVANTASIA's seventh studio album, "Ghostlights", which will be released on January 29, 2016 via Nuclear Blast. The twelve-song CD was produced by Tobias and Sascha Paeth at Gatestudio in Wolfsburg, Germany. Paeth engineered and mixed "Ghostlights", while the mastering was done by Michael Rodenberg.

Comments Tobias: "'Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose' is a song I originally wrote with Meat Loaf in the back of my mind — but for some reason the collaboration didn't happen, so I did the song myself. The choirs alone took more than 40 hours to arrange and record — for a four-minute song! That pretty much says it all. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing and 'more is more'!"

J'ai mis la news dans le topic Eurovision, mais il n'est pas consultable par les non inscrits et il faut que ça se sache :D
AVANTASIA annonce sur sa page Facebook qu’il se présente aux sélections allemandes pour participer le 25 février prochain au concours Eurovision 2016 à Stockholm avec le titre « Mystery Of The Blood Red Rose ». « Trois minutes pour montrer à des millions de personnes que quelque chose comme nous existe ? DONNEZ-MOI CETTE SCÈNE ! » explique le chanteur dans son communiqué.

« Mystery Of The Blood Red Rose » apparaît sur le nouvel et septième album du combo, intitulé Ghostlights, prévu le 29 janvier 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Même avis, j'avais bien apprécié le précédent et celui-ci me convient également.
Je le trouve assez sombre et mélancolique avec certaines prestations vocales remarquées, en particulier celles de Dee Snider, Herbie Langhans, Bob Catley et Sharon. D'ailleurs sur le titre avec cette dernière, la présence de Tobias me semble dispensable.

Par contre, je suis pas trop fan du single mis en avant par Nuclear Blast et du titre avec Hietala, qui sonne un peu trop comme du Nightwish.

Je n'ai pas écouté encore ce dernier mais j'avais ce problème sur les précédents. Si le virage musical ne m'a pas dérangé, le fait que sa présence devienne systématique sur tous les morceaux me gave un tantinet.
