C'était l'évidence même avec la mort de Lemmy, mais Mikkey Dee l'officialise, tout en revenant sur l'état de santé de Lemmy au court des derniers mois.

MOTÖRHEAD drummer Mikkey Dee has confirmed that the band will cease touring and will not record any more albums following the passing of the group's iconic frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister.

"MOTÖRHEAD is over, of course," Mikkey told Sweden's Expressen newspaper. "Lemmy was MOTÖRHEAD. But the band will live on in the memories of many."

He added: "We will not be doing any more tours or anything. And there will not be any more records. But the fire survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone."

MOTÖRHEAD's final concert took place on December 11 in Berlin, Germany. Despite suffering from an "extremely aggressive" form of cancer, Kilmister battled his way through to the end of the group's European tour.

"He was terribly gaunt," Mikkey said. "He spent all his energy on stage and afterwards he was very, very tired. It's incredible that he could even play, that he could finish the Europe tour. It was only 20 days ago. Unbelievable."

Dee believes that MOTÖRHEAD wrapped up its career in the best possible way.

"It feels fantastic that we were able to complete the tour with [Lemmy]," Mikkey said. "It's heartening that we didnt cancel because of Lemmy.

"I'm incredibly grateful over the years we've had, and that we had such a good time together."

Contrairement à beaucoup, en fait je suis plutôt content pour lui Y a un avant et un après, c'est sûr mais pour moi c'est quand même Dio qui l'a marqué ce changement

Je rejoins l'avis de Cardinal, malheureusement une nouvelle tournée aurait probablement été celle de trop, vu la santé déclinante de Lemmy sur la dernière en date. Tournée qu'il a courageusement terminé malgré tout, en abattant ses dernières cartes.
