On peut espérer que les termes "No further European cities" ne désignent que les Arenas et pas les fests qui ne sont pas complètement des European cities.

mais j'irais les voir si je peux .
De toute manière, étrangement, la tournée s'arrête fin mai , 15 jours avant les premiers fest' d'été . Wait and see

Un concert à Bercy pour 2017 ?

Le 13 mars dernier, Steve Harris a donné une information allant dans ce sens lors d’une interview pour le magazine argentin The Aquarian Weekly. Iron Maiden devrait faire un concert à l’Accorhotel Arena de Paris en 2017. En effet, leur tournée des festivals s’achève en août, et Steve Harris nous dit dans son interview qu’il réfléchit à un nouvel album, mais qu’avant il souhaite continuer de tourner. Or, la saison des festivals s’achevant, la possibilité de concerts en salle augmente, comme la rumeur de ce concert à Bercy relayée par de nombreux médias axés sur le métal comme Hardforce. D’autres informations viendront certainement compléter celle-ci très prochainement, et peut-être une officialisation par le groupe.

oui mais y a des rumeurs concernant un titre en moins et un nouveau petit singe.

Billet en poche pour Dublin. 80€ : prix de la place + les frais, et tout cela pour ne pas avoir de ticket physique...

j'avoue avoir hésité un petit moment en voyant le prix final. Je trouve ça vraiment cher, je ne sais pas combien coûte un concert de Maiden à Paris ou ailleurs mais un tel prix est abusé

Au final je me suis dit que je n'avais jamais vu Maiden en salle, que cela serait con de les louper alors qu'ils passent à 30 minutes à pieds de chez moi (ou à 5 minutes à pieds de mon travail) et que comme dirait Alex "Non mais atta Maiden c'est toujours EX-cellent quoi..." alors j'ai craqué

Le groupe a un plan d'actions pour lutter contre la vente parallèle de billets, mais uniquement au UK on dirait :

Iron Maiden's gonna get you, no matter how far! The British metallers just announced their plans to protect fans from ticket piracy, profiteering and counterfeiting. The group, whose first major UK arena tour for six years will be announced tomorrow, September 23rd, have gone to great lengths to ensure their fans are able to buy tickets at the intended price rather than at the ludicrously inflated prices prevalent on many secondary ticketing sites and also to protect them against counterfeit tickets.

Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood explains: "We do not want our fans being ripped off either by counterfeit tickets or through costly mark-ups on so called secondary ticketing websites. These problems now affect the UK more than any other country outside of the U.S.A. We believe the most successful way to prevent this is by implementing Paperless ticketing. This proved highly successful in reducing piracy at our previous London shows in 2013 and on our North American tours since 2010. This is a simple procedure and goes a long way to minimising the resale of tickets and reducing fraud by requiring the original cardholder purchaser to be present at entry.

"We have been working with our UK promoter Live Nation and Ticketmaster to ensure that we can operate a Paperless ticketing system, in full or in part, at all the UK venues we'll play in 2017. We are also instigating a number of additional measures which we believe will directly help our fans to access tickets in the fairest, safest way and at the intended price."

The actions being put in place for 2017 are:

Ensuring that every venue will operate Paperless ticketing, either 100% or partial.
Working in co-operation with Live Nation and Ticketmaster, Paperless ticketing means that the original cardholder is required to present their debit or credit card and photographic ID at the point of entry with their guest(s).
Setting Conditions of Purchase so that tickets are not for resale.
Ensuring to the best of our abilities, in conjunction with Live Nation and Ticketmaster, that secondary ticketing sites are prevented from listing our shows and to invalidate tickets should any appear on these secondary sites.
Setting a maximum limit of 4 (four) tickets per person per show.
To use Purchaser Names on tickets where they are not paperless and to require the cardholder to be present at the show, with picture ID.
A dedicated team to monitor ticket sales in real-time throughout the exclusive Iron Maiden Fan Club pre-sale, any other presales and the general public on sale to ensure that ticket limits are being imposed and all suspicious activity is reported and investigated.
A dedicated customer support team on hand to deal with any issues from fans with legitimate problems.
Being aware of criminals and their methods to infiltrate our best practices and having the conviction to retrospectively cancel their inventory. This is especially in respect of automated bots and multiple card efforts which are used to garner large numbers of tickets at the onsale to the detriment of the fans.
Reinforcing the message that if you buy a ticket from an unauthorised source, it will be either invalid or counterfeit. Do not become a victim.

Maiden has long been active in combating the abuse of secondary ticketing websites; specifically the individuals and businesses who use digital platforms to immediately snap up and re-sell tickets at vastly inflated prices, denying the genuine fan a fair chance to purchase at face-value. The band supports The Fanfair Alliance which unites music businesses, artists and fans against ticket touting and profiteering in the online secondary market.

Nigel Adams MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Music and Member of Parliament for Selby and Ainsty adds: "I'm pleased that Iron Maiden are taking a principled position and standing up for music fans. I'd like to think the whole industry can learn from this initiative and use technology to put a stop to the industrial level of touting that has been a blight on the live music industry for so long."

Je me fais les deux dates d oberhausen et dommage pour francfort car tout est complet.
je ne prends pas le risque non plus de passer au keep it true la même semaine et préfère rentrer voir a grenoble uli john roth ou on est sur d avoir de la place

Le groupe ne joue plus Hallowed be thy Name, car il se retrouve à nouveau attaqué sur les droits de la chanson, dont une partie des paroles ont été "empruntées" à Brian Quinn. Sauf que ce n'est même pas ce dernier qui est l'origine de la plainte, c'est un peu compliqué alors je vous laisse lire.

According to The Telegraph, Iron Maiden has been forced to drop its classic "Hallowed Be Thy Name" from the band's current tour after it became embroiled in a legal battle over who wrote it. Retired rock band manager Barry McKay is taking bassist Steve Harris and guitarist Dave Murray to court over the song.

McKay claims the song reproduces major parts of another song, "Lying In My Shadow", written by musician Brian Quinn under the name Brian Ingham.

Iron Maiden comments: "As previously announced, for the current second leg of the Book Of Souls tour a couple of changes to the setlist were due to be made. The first was including a different track from the new album and having been made aware of a legal claim, the second change was to replace 'Hallowed Be Thy Name'."

Phantom Management have issued a statement regarding the case brought by Barry McKay (initially by Barry McKay and Brian Quinn) against Steve Harris and Dave Murray, regarding Iron Maiden’s classic "Hallowed Be Thy Name”. It reads as follows:

“The dispute concerns the song Life’s Shadow, a song originally written in the early 1970s, credited to Robert Barton and Brian Ingham, and recorded by the band Beckett. Steve Harris was a fan of Beckett and some six lines from ‘Life’s Shadow’ were referenced in Steve’s song, ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’, which was recorded by Iron Maiden and appeared on the album The Number of the Beast which was released in 1982.

As far as Steve is concerned, this matter was settled some years ago by agreement with Robert Barton, but there now appears to be a dispute between the two original writers as to their respective shares in ‘Life’s Shadow’. Further, an individual called Barry McKay in taking this action now claims to publish Robert Barton’s interest in ‘Life’s Shadow’, despite so far being unable to come up with a publishing agreement and showing little or no evidence in his claim of any interest in Mr Barton’s songs in approximately 40 years. Mr. McKay also states that he entered into a publishing agreement with Brian Quinn (aka Ingham) on March 29th, 2017, two days before the claim was served.

Mr. Barton maintains he was the writer of the lyrics of Life’s Shadow and recently said: ‘I wrote the lyrics of Life’s Shadow and am happy with how Iron Maiden have, and are, dealing with this matter.’

Any evidence presented by Mr. McKay will be looked at very closely and a Defence at court will be submitted in due course.”
