German power metal pioneers PARADOX, who were founded in February 1986, are reforming after 28 years in their original incarnation, with Charly Steinhauer (vocals/guitar), Markus Spyth (guitar), Roland Stahl (bass) and Axel Blaha (drums). This was the band's lineup for its debut album, "Product Of Imagination", that was released 1987. Soon they were hailed as the No. #1 German newcomer and their LP was named "Record Of The Month" in several print magazines. Also their second album, "Heresy", is considered to be an old-school speed metal classic.
PARADOX will play their first reunion show in the original lineup at the Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen, Germany next July. An appearance at the Harder Than Steel festival in Dittigheim will follow in late September. They will play an old-school setlist with songs from the first two albums.

mouais....pas convaincu que ce soit une bonne chose de se contenter des deux premiers albums. Leur meilleur pour moi c'est celui de la reformation "Collision course"

Ouais ben la moitié du line-up d'origine s'est barrée à nouveau.
Ils sortent malgré tout la suite de Heresy, leur album conceptuel "culte". Mais 75 minutes ça fait quand même beaucoup à digérer...
En attendant l'extrait speede et thrashe (verbes du premier groupe, oui).
German thrashers Paradox have announced that their long-awaited eighth studio album, Heresy II - End Of A Legend, will be released on September 24th, 2021 via AFM Records. It will be the band's first full-length record since 2016's Pangea, and serves as a sequel to the band's classic 1989 album Heresy. Additional details coming soon.
The band issued the following info regarding the upcoming record: "Dear friends, it's time to give you a quick update on the upcoming new album. Its done! Heresy II - End Of A Legend will be released via AFM Records on September 24th, 2021! The story concept and the lyrics were written by Peter Vogt, who was also responsible for the lyrics of our debut album Product Of Imagination (1987) and Heresy (1989).
"How does it sound? Well, don't expect that we tried hard to sound like the 80's because we didn't want to copy ourselves and rest on old laurels. Don't worry, because we managed to combine all of Paradox's strengths on this album to consolidate our own style. With the first song you blindly recognize which band is playing here. It's 100% Paradox!
"With 75 minutes of playing time, it's actually almost a double album, but you had to wait 5 years for a new record. Therefore we allow ourselves to present you a little more music.
