Une sorte de folk-metal bien couillu au temps des pirates

m'a l'air Excellent !
la pochette est superbe.
le chanteur me rappelle Jon Oliva sur Terror on the High !
(y'a bien que sur celle la d'ailleurs)

Achat obligatoire ( 13,50 euros chez nuclear blast)par contre je trouve pas les 2 ep ni les albums sorti sous le nom BATTLEHEART

En effet, le groupe s'appelait Battleheart avant de devenir Alestorm.

J'ai trouvé un CD d'occase de Battleheart sur Price Minister mais il n'y a aucune précision.

Très bonne découverte Me faut ça.

Sympa, ça me rappelle un peu EINHERJER dernière époque.

C'est fun, a priori j'aime bien aussi... mais... les claviers sont en carton pate quand même

Je pense comme Flo, les claviers sont en carton pate!
Plus sérieusement, le son des claviers me fait penser à Thuata de Danaan et Turisas. A part ça c'est un très bon moment de Folkmetal sympa, sur le thème de la piraterie, qui change un peu des vikings et des légendes pseudo celtiques.Les mélodies sont entrainantes, et le chant va nickel avec l'ensemble. On le passe très souvent à la taverne car c'est complètement dans le style, et pour le moment je m'en lasse moins vite que Korpiklaani.
J'ai hâte de voir ce que ça va donner cet été au Wacken, mais j'ai déjà prévu d'emmener le rhum et le perroquet en carton

Plutôt d'accord avec Eklipse, même si je suis quand même un peu moins enthousiaste. C'est un disque honnête, mais je m'attendais à des compos plus marquantes tout de même. Sinon, c'est quand même très pêchu et il y a un certain souffle sur l'ensemble de l'album. Je t'en conseille l'écoute, Weik

J'adore ! Completement énorme, lyrics bien funs, voix accrocheuse, mélodies démentes et pas trop rabachées.. Les claviers : biens funs aussi...
Par contre je vois pas mal de comparaisons avec Korpiklaani et tous ces trucs : ca reste qaund même beaucoup plus heavy metal ! Moi j'accroche pas a tous ce strucs, mais Alstorm j'adore !

J' ai pas encore bien écouté leur album qui a l' air terrible, d' après les chroniques.

Le guitariste Gavin Harper quitte le groupe:

Scottish folk/power metal band ALESTORM has set "Black Sails at Midnight" as the title of its new album, due in the spring via Napalm Records.

ALESTORM recently announced the addition of guitarist Tim Shaw to the group's ranks. The band stated, "The more eagle-eyed watchers of the underground amongst you may know him as the mastermind behind the epic black metal project FYRDSMAN, and as the guitarist of the now-departed death metal titans PREMITHON. He's a beastly good guitarist, and a great lad to boot. It's gonna be a fucking blast when we get up on stage and in the studio."

Bon ben on va voir si ils réalisent a un nouvel album de la qualité de Captain Morgan : un des albums de l'année pour moi !

ALESTORM, sortiront leur nouvel album "Black Sails At Midnight" chez Napalm Records début juin prochain. Le disque sortira avec un bonus DVD qui comportera le show du groupe enregistré au Wacken Open Air festival 2008.

Ouais bien sympa cette pochette, comme la précédente d'ailleurs! Dommage que je sois autant hermétique à leur musique.

ça fout la patate, vivvement juin
