U.D.O., the German metal band led by former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, will release its new album, "Steelfactory", on August 31 via AFM.
The first single, "Rising High", can be streamed below.
According to a press release, "Steelfactory" sees "U.D.O. return to their core competence, clearly influenced by their past shows with DIRKSCHNEIDER, the songs in their rousingly simple straightness have a hymn character, as it is only known from the past."
The press release continues: "'Steelfactory' has become a timeless metal album and thus the impressive statement of a master of his craft. With its earthy, punchy and handmade sound — with the participation of the Danish producer Jacob Hansen (among others, VOLBEAT) — 'Steelfactory' meets the nerve of the time, which may be triggered again since the successful DIRKSCHNEIDER tour worldwide."

Dirkschneider has spent the last two years touring under the DIRKSCHNEIDER banner, performing classic ACCEPT songs for the last time. The trek, which was originally supposed to conclude with the band's North American run in January/February 2017, has now been extended through the fall of 2018.
Guitarist Stefan Kaufmann recently rejoined U.D.O. for the group's summer festival appearances.

C'est marrant je me suis dit la même chose avant d'ouvrir le topic.
De tout façon maintenant, c'est toujours une petite déception quand un album ne finit plus par "or". Je propose d'ailleurs à la sortie de l'album de vous joindre à moi pour aller dans tous les revendeurs de disques pour aller gratter le "y" et ainsi rétablir la vérité.

Une autre chanson, là aussi très bien foutue mais cette fois avec beaucoup moins de mérite parce qu'elle ressemble énormément à un classique d'Accept. Modernisé en quelque sorte. Mais c'est un peu dérangeant...

Oui c'est vrai que c'est gênant. Cela dit la chanson est vraiment bien... mais c'est un peu gênant....

Au final c'est un tres bon album je trouve et il y avait longtemps que qu'un cd de UDO n'avais pas été aussi bon !

Bah le précédent, Decadent, est tout aussi bien.
Je le trouve bien aussi ce Steelfactory, mais il est 10000 fois trop long. 68 min dans sa version deluxe, pour ce genre c'est juste pas possible. C'est dommage car beaucoup de groupes ont compris qu'il était bon de revenir à des formats "vinyles" de 40-45 min, pas UDO malheureusement...

Disons qu'on sent bien qu' UDO est toujours le genre de gars à vivre pour ce soir...
Quel titre D'ACCEPT ? Moi j'entends plutôt, dans la 1ere partie du couplet, une ressemblance avec un titre de Faceless World d'U.D.O.
Ben moi, ça me fait penser à screamin' for a love bite ou midnight mover. Il est pas mal du tout ce nouvel opus

Le nouveau line-up. On dirait un grand-père et ses sales gosses.
U.D.O., the German metal band led by former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, has announced the addition of Dee Dammers on guitar and Tilen Hudrap on bass.
The group states: "Both are very talented musicians and we are really excited to have them in U.D.O.
"We hope that you will enjoy the new lineup, and that it will be around for a very long time.
"The new lineup will start rehearsals for the upcoming U.D.O. tour of Russia very shortly. We will, as always, keep you updated on our progress via social media.
"And of course, our very best wishes to [former bassist] Fitty [Wienhold], who has been much, much more than just the band's bass player for all these years."
U.D.O.'s current lineup is rounded out by Udo's son and drummer Sven Dirkschneider and guitarist Andrey Smirnov.

Je l'écoute beaucoup en ce moment.
Perso, je ne connais pas vraiment U.D.O. après Solid, mais je me rappelais l'avoir écouté une ou deux fois et l'avoir trouvé sympa. C'est donc avec grand plaisir que je le redécouvre. Quel dommage par contre qu'Udo ne sache pas sélectionner ses morceaux pour ne faire qu'un album de 45 minutes max. Car aussi bon soit l'album ça traine en longueur.

^ C'est sans doute leur meilleur album des années 2000 pour moi.
Je ferai peut-être un topic UDO général un de ces quatre.
