Les folkeux suisses signent chez Nuclear Blast


Swiss Folk Metallers ELUVEITIE have signed a deal with Nuclear Blast. Check out the following statement from the band: "Great news we have for you these days! While being busy finishing up the production of "Slania" and working on our "Evocation"-concept we still found the time to travel to Donzdorf in Germany for a few beers & a talk with the people of Nuclear Blast Records ... Not only did they make us drunk as hell, but they also impressed us with a great artist roster, 20 years of incredible work (happy birthday, Nuclear Blast!) and their professional but still very "Metal" staff. So we did what had to be done - we came, we saw and we signed. We are looking forward to many years of great work together with one of the world's biggest record companies in Metal and are glad to announce that our new full-length record "Slania" will join the legions of legendary albums released by Nuclear Blast on February 15th, 2008! Now you'll probably remember a news-entry of some weeks ago, telling you about "Evocation I & II" on Twilight Records... You remember right, and no: We weren't drunk. But we are very happy that Twilight and Nuclear Blast decided to join forces, so Twilight will take care of our back-catalogue ("Spirit" is being re-released by Twilight these days & our first EP "Ven" will follow in Spring 2008 - check http://www.twilight-vertrieb.com!) while "Evocation I" (that's right: it's gonna be two full albums) will be released through NB in Winter 2008. album acheté en version digipack avec le DVD bonus.Même style de digpack que le Death angel (normal car tous deux sortis chez nuclear blast) , mais avec un joli livret contenant les paroles cette fois!

L'album est bon (mais pas aussi génial que ce à quoi je m'attendais), la prod excellente, bref, ça sent les gros moyens , mais certaines compos sont moins folk metal ,et plus death mélodique ce que je désole un peu. Par moment ça me fait penser à du In flames. Je préférais dans l'ensemble "spirit" beaucoup plus folk dans l'ensemble.

Le DVD propose leur prestation au ragnarok festival (25 minutes à peine) , de très nombreuses photos (notamment celles du cerunnos fest du 16 décembre 2007 à paris ) et un vidéoclip. Encore un DVD sympa mais qui est loin d'être bourré jusqu'à la gueule , dommage , ils auraient pu ajouter d'autres choses. En une quarantaine de minutes on a tout vu.

Je ne regrette pas mon achat , il y a du très bon dans cet album et le packaging est très soigné mais je m'attendais à d'autres ambiances sur certains titres. Mais aimant également beaucoup le death mélodique , ces titres m'ont bien plu également.

Hâte de les revoir pour la 4eme fois lors du Pagan fest le 9 avril prochain!!! :hail:

Comme un de mes amis m'a fait remarquer, la chanson Inis Mona ressemble drôlement à La Tribu de Dana de Manau (et non La Tribu de Damna de ManOwaR).

oui effectivement on a tous remarqué ca avec mes potes !

Après vérification, ils ont tout simplement repris le même air breton que Manau. Sinon, j'ai écouté un peu les titres sur le myspace, vraiment pas mon genre. Le Folk Metal finlandais (fait par des Suisses, certes), c'est pas mon ressort.

ELUVEITIE sortira son nouvel album intitulé "Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion" (cover ci-contre) le 10 avril prochain chez Nuclear Blast Records. A noter que le disque sera entièrement acoustique et comportera 15 titres avec des paroles en "ancien gaulois". On retrouvera en guest Oliver S. Tyr de FAUN, Alan A. Nemtheanga de PRIMORDIAL ... et Asterix le Gaulois ? Il s'agira du premier volet d'un double concept album et sa tracklist sera:

Le projet me plait bien! Dans le même genre, Manegarm avait fait quelque chose de similaire et c'est magnifique

y a de très bons titres, mais à écouter d'une traite c'est un peu indigeste je trouve.
Bizarre cependant que ce concept, les frères jumeaux Kirder étaient partis du groupe après "slania" parce que trop orienté death mélo alors qu'ils voulaient mettre l'accent sur leur côté folk, et v'la qu'ils sortent ce projet folk....sans les jumeaux.

Bah c'est pas mal en musique de fond, quoi, mais j'espère qu'il n'y aura pas de Evocation II... Ou pas tout de suite

Swiss pagan metal horde Eluveitie entered the studio 2 and half weeks ago in order to record their highly anticipated new album. The successor to the acoustic / folk masterpiece Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion is said to be a full scale metal album again, showcasing Eluveitie extraordinary folk metal mayhem. The album will be produced by Tommy Vetterli (mastermind of Coroner, ex-Kreator & -Voodoo Cult) at the renowned Newsound Studios. Afterwards, legendary sound guru Colin Richardson (Behemoth, Machine Head, Slipknot, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Fear Factory etc.) will work on the mix.


Commented vocalist/mastermind Chrigel Glanzmann: "Some of you might have heard some rumours about it already and it’s true, we’re heavily working on our new album! For two and a half weeks already we’ve been in the studio recording our next audible sword blow. Drums and most of the guitars are already nailed and so far we are really, really satisfied. I mean Really! We’ve decided to record our upcoming album in the famous Swiss Newsound Studios, owned and run by none lesser than Tommy Vetterli (note: pic attached)! So far it has been a hell of a pleasure to work with him on recording the album! It’s great to benefit from his enormous experience both as producer/engineer and musician on one hand, but also to have a good time with him since he’s a very likeable and down-to-earth guy on another. Judging by how the recorded tracks sound so far this album will definitely cleave your heads wide open!

"The album will of course be mixed by the British sound forge god Colin Richardson.

"That brings me to the next thing to mention. Yes, after an acoustic release we’re thoroughly up for a massive metal album again! So Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion will become the well known calm before the storm so to speak. Some of the songs on this new album I began to write quite a long time ago, some others developed in a very short time during the last two months. All in all I think that this album will become our most dark and severe release so far. Brimming with mysticism and insanely fast celtic folk melody lines but at the same time with pure, juggernautish metal. Actually this album’s probably more ‘metal’ than any other release we’ve done so far. So stay tuned!

Swiss pagan horde ELUVEITIE has finished recording its third album, "Everything Remains", for an early 2010 release via Nuclear Blast Records. The band's mainman, Chrigel Glanzmann, is currently attending the mixing sessions at Nott-In Pill studios in Wales with Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, KREATOR, BEHEMOTH, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) and Martyn "Ginge" Ford.

Commented Glanzmann: "Right now I'm with Colin and Martyn working on the mix of the album. And believe me, the mix will be mind-blowing! Well, what can I say… Colin is just a pure genius!

"We can look back at two extremely intense months of working our asses off recording the album. It has been an intense, exhausting, but also satisfying time with all of us giving 150% in. Many things developed very spontaneously and songs became very authentic, pure and genuine.

"Speaking of the recording, I have to mention the amazing job of Tommy Vetterli [CORONER, KREATOR], for sure, who really worked his balls off for the album! Once again he assured his position among the world’s best engineers. That's what Colin Richardson stated about his work: 'One of the best drum and guitar trackings I've ever heard!' Furthermore, we can already give you a first glimpse of the artwork, which has again been done by famous artist Travis Smith, who already did the cover for 'Spirit'.

"Lyrically, the album consists of diverse stories and narrations from ancient Gallia: Historical occurrences and fates of individuals as well as myths and legends bequeathed throughout the centuries. Yet the lyrics pretty much focus on the 'human' aspects of those historical happenings and also behold them with some questioning and probably also with a slightly bittersweet smile, being well aware of the fact that today we simply cannot tell how things exactly have been back then."

"Everything Remains" will be the follow-up to the acoustic/folk masterpiece "Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion", which was released in April via Nuclear Blast Records. It contained 15 folk songs, most of them written in ancient gaulish language.

Slania était trop death mélo, et moins folk, du coup je vais attendre de voir les critiques avant de me réjouir.
Surtout que le gros son asseptisé de Colin Richardson a de quoi me rebuter...

Bien meilleur que Slania en tout cas. Plus d'éléments folk surtout! J'y retourve l'esprit de "spirit"

ELUVEITIE a annoncé être entré en studio, au New Sound Studio à Pfäffikon (près de Zurich), afin d'enregistrer leur nouvel album. Ils sont pour l'occasion accompagnés de Tommy Vetterli (a.k.a. Tommy T. Baron; Actuel guitariste de CORONER et ancien KREATOR)... Sortie prévue début 2012 chez Nuclear Blast.
