Bah voilà !

Et pour ma part je vote Cosmovision, le premier album de Nightmare que j'ai connu. Beau, mélodique, direct, efficace... Nickel en somme !

Mais j'aurais pu voter Insurrection ou The Dominion Gate.

Je me retrouve totalement dans ton post du sujet "En ce moment j'écoute...". Merci pour les souvenirs

J'ai voté pour "Waiting for the Twilight" parce que je suis un True
(en vrai, je trouve qu'il a un côté "roots" très plaisant avec des morceaux faciles à reprendre en cœur et c'est l'un des premiers albums "des 80s" que j'ai écouté)

J'ai découvert avec "Cosmovision" dans Metallian, j'ai tout de suite accroché à la musique puissante et recherchée et le concept "Inca" (original), j'aurais pu tout aussi bien voter pour celui-ci.

Et puis il y'a eu la rencontre avec les membres du groupe (super sympas), les super concerts de Crolles en 2003, le Evolution Festival en 2006 (grosse ambiance à la barrière avec un Jo en grande forme) et le concert au CCO de Lyon en 2007 avec le Jeannot !

J'ai lâché l'affaire après "The Dominion Gate".

Ouais je ne l'ai pas précisé mais des mecs en Or les Nightmare, jamais à rechigner pour une photo ou un autographe. Je dois avoir des photos avec eux qui traînent sur le pc.

Bizarrement je n'ai jamais écouté Waiting for the Twilight". L'objet le plus vieux que je possède est leur mini-CD Astral Deliverance offert par Adipocere car j'avais commandé chez eux trois mois d'affilé pour un certain montant. Ah une autre époque ça aussi !

Dans mon souvenir Silent Room était mon préféré car le plus mature et riche. Je ne connais que quelques titres ici et là de ce qui a suivi en revanche...

Cosmovision je le trouve un peu chiant, le son moyen et le chant, loin d'être mauvais, est bien meilleur par la suite.
Par contre tout les suivants que je connais sont très bon (Dominion gate, aftermath, burden of god, insurrection). J'ai voté Burden of god mais j'ai du mal à les départager

Silent Room, je le trouve trop sombre

Le groupe va sortir un coffret 3 CD regroupant leurs débuts, des titres live de 1985 et des inédits :

23 track, three disc set from cult French metal act Nightmare featuring their first two full length studio albums, originally released on Ebony Records, and a bonus disc of rare and unreleased material.
CD 1 features their debut full length recording, ‘Waiting For The Twilight’, originally released in 1984, with four French language bonus tracks.
CD 2 features the follow up ‘Power Of The Universe’, originally released in 1985, with six bonus live tracks. Both albums were originally released via cult NWOBHM label Ebony Records.
CD 3 comprises of very early material specially curated by the band from their own archives, including completely unreleased tracks.
Nightmare formed in 1979 in Grenoble, France, influenced by the burgeoning NWOBHM scene exploding across the Channel in England, and even supported Def Leppard at a huge show in Grenoble in 1983.
The band have continued to release music and tour over the years, and in June 2024 issued a brand-new studio album, their 12th, via AFM Records. 2024 also sees the 40th anniversary of ‘Waiting For The Twilight’ – the band will celebrate this milestone with a live show in Grenoble on October 18th, which will feature two sets, one from the current line up, and one featuring former members of the band to bring the history of this enduring metal institution full circle.
This release is complimented with the addition of liner notes featuring exclusive new interviews with the band, and includes rare photos from the band’s own archive.
