Swedish progressive metal juggernauts, Evergrey, have released an official live video for "Weightless", taken from the album Before The Aftermath - Live In Gothenburg, out on January 28 on Digpak BluRay/2CD and vinyl editions via AFM Records.

Evergrey, like every other artist, suffered heavily from the pandemic in 2020 and after much deliberation decided to stream a concert live from Gothenburg.
"We want to bring some music and positivity back into our lives, because we miss playing live, and we miss playing music for YOU. Playing is our life, and it has been for quite some time," says Tom Englund.
The result is now almost two hours of pristine live material with classics and treasures that in great Dolby 5.1. Surround quality pull the listener directly deep into a great concert experience.

Ah sympa !
Sand public du coup ?
Mais voir l'affiche de la tournée en pochette et la setlist que nous aurions pu avoir me fout un peu les boules...
Edit : "stream concert live" -> sans public donc.

Au train où ça va, pour les futurs albums live il va falloir inventer les prises de son du public directement depuis les domiciles des fans.

Pour les samples dégueulasses ça ne date pas de la pandémie ceci dit.
Ouaip ça ne fait pas rêver comme tendance.
Dans cet extrait d'Evergrey (qui comprend un tout petit peu de public en présentiel si on regarde bien), les intéractions du groupe avec le public dont la plupart doit être virtuel / à distance sonnent sincères autant qu'elles ont quelque chose d'assez triste et incongru. Il faut faire "comme si". Pas évident, en se mettant à leur place.

Dommage que ce concert soit sans public mais par contre niveau son et puissance sa bute sévère. Achat obligatoire pour moi.

Je me rends compte que ça ressemble fort au live diffusé lors du Metal Festival Alliance, fest en ligne organisé par plusieurs fests "réels" en Août 2020.

C'est toujours tristos de voir un concert sans public. Je me rappelle pour le Paradise Lost, à se tirer une balle... Bon OK ça va bien au groupe ! Ce sera sans moi. Je préfère regarder à nouveau le sublime A Night To Remember, artwork, set list... Evergrey au top.
