German hard rock quartet and recent Atomic Fire Records signees, Sinner, have unveiled details for their forthcoming studio album, Brotherhood, scheduled for release on July 15.
Notes vocalist/bassist Mat Sinner of the record’s title, "This band is held together by a tight friendship. Without this friendship, Sinner simply would not exist. We belong together and this album is meant to express that."
Brotherhood was produced by Mat Sinner, co-produced by guitarist Tom Naumann, and recorded by Basi Roeder at Backyard Studios as well as Mitch Kunz at Apollo 13 Audio. Jacob Hansen mixed and mastered it at Hansen Studios, Denmark. Artwork was completed by 123RF GmbH / W. Cliff Knese (Terrafolio).

La pochette est en rupture avec les dernières. Le premier clip est disponible. Il me semble reconnaître Ronnie Romero à un moment.
Pour la chanson, c'est du 100% SINNER, zéro surprise, si ce n'est de renouer avec les productions des années fin 90, début 2000 avec un son plus brut et une compo un peu plus tournée vers le Heavy que vers le genre Thin Lizzy des derniers albums. M'enfin, c'est qu'une chanson...

Je viens de voir aussi que la chanteuse (à temps partiel) de l'album précédent, Giorgia Colleluori, n'est plus que simple invitée.
L'extrait est correct / classique, plus 90's en effet.

A noter que Sinner n'est toujours pas assez rétabli pour faire de la scène :

We're buddies and friends, we're loyal, and we just stick together. And we just said we don't do shows until he's fine again. But that's exactly right now a very, very present topic we are talking about, and this is gonna be the next step. What I know is that everybody is composing and writing like crazy. So that's always the good side of the bad side, is that we are productive people."

Je l'ai écouté une fois complètement illégalement sur youtube et je suis très agréablement surpris. On est plus sur du sévèrement burné qui me rappelle quelque peu The Nature Of Evil. Bon, ce n'est qu'une première impression, mais on est loin de la copie de Thin Lizzy des dernière année.

Finalement, ça s'est tourné vers un achat pour moi.
J'adhère plutôt bien. C'est un panaché de ce que le "groupe" faisait dans les années 90/2000. On sent bien la patte Tom Naumann dans les compos. La comparaison avec Nature of Evil ou There Will be Execution est assez évidente. Finalement, il n'y a que le titre éponyme qui est dans la veine les derniers albums un peu plus mollassons.
