MetalEater: I know you've probably been asked this before, but do you think there will be another ACCEPT album in the future?
Hoffmann: "No. I can't see it; never ever I don't think."
MetalEater: Is it something that you would want to do if the chemistry and all the right attitude was there?
Hoffmann: "It's so far away from everything, from any reality. It hasn't even crossed my mind whether I wanted to do it. I know it's impossible so I don't even give it a thought."
MetalEater: It sounds like you're more excited about and more focused on the projects that we discussed earlier.
Hoffmann: "Oh, way more. The thought of having to make another ACCEPT album doesn't excite me very much at all (laughs). So it's not even something I even have thought about much."

Pour moi, c'est sans conteste "Russian Roulette" ! Je l'avoue, il y a un côté sentimental : c'est le premier album d'Accept que j'ai écouté... Au niveau compos, c'est une vrai tuerie : TV War, Monsterman, Aiming High et j'en passe... Je ne comprends vraiment pas pourquoi beaucoup de gens le trouvent moyen : c'est sûr que les autres albums renferment des perles, mais "Russian Roulette", c'est le top !
Udo explique que c'en est bel et bien terminé d'Accept maintenant, et l'entente avec Hoffmann n'est à l'évidence pas au beau fixe :
Did you have any discussions about possible new recordings with Accept while you were on tour?
UDO: No, no at all "laughs" Of course we had some drinks together and we were talking about the business and stuff but Wolf maybe find out, I think he find out that if I say we should do it again he would say yes but in the beginning he said "No, I don’t wanna do it". But I think that after doing all these shows he was really thinking about doing something more with Accept. The thing is that if he really wanted do something like that, why he never came up during all the shows and say "Hey Udo, I got some new songs, do you wanna hear them?" or something like that. There was nothing. Music wise he was maybe thinking something and I was like, this is very hard to explain but I felt inside of me "Don’t do it, don’t do it!!). I think that this was a perfect way finish Accept.
So you are saying that this was definitely the last time we saw Accept on stage?
UDO: Maybe not the last time because there might be a live DVD coming from that tour "laughs". It will include the whole reunion thing and stuff but then that’s it!
Have you heard some of those statements what Wolf said about you during the tour?
UDO: I don’t know. I think he did lot of very boring interviews about the things we just discussed. When I read them I was wondering what was coming up from his mind. I mean when he started doing interviews he said "I have no problem to do Accept but Udo doesn’t want to do it. There will be no real re-union because of Udo". Still it wasn’t too long time ago when he said "No, Accept I don’t wanna do it because I hate that business. I don’t wanna be in music business anymore".
And now he’s even did show with Sebastian Bach and he has plans to tour in his own in next year?
UDO: Yeah I know about that. I think this is some kind fear of him you know? I mean he knew that I was working with U.D.O and we had a new album coming out and he know what I was thinking all the time. From my side there wasn’t any re-union at any point and he knew that right from the beginning and now he’s changing the story.
So he’s the one who decided to chance his mind?
UDO: Exactly, he changed his mind. If he wants to he can still do Accept but with a different singer "laughs"
Metal Heart, c'est le premier album album d'Accept découvert perso donc...Et il y a des purs morceaux dedans: Too High to Get It Right, Screaming for a Love Bite, Midnight Mover, Metal Heart... C'est un must du Heavy Metal, tout simplement.
J'aime beaucoup aussi Breaker et le double album Staying a Life qui est terrible.
En fait, j'ai hesite entre Metal Heart et Eat the heat.
J'ai vote pour Eat the heat et j'ai pas peur de passer pour une tata !!
Autrement, c'est un peu hors sujet mais j'avais bien aime certains trucs de UDO en solo (Heart of gold, Animal house, ...)
Par contre, predator j'ai pas aime.

comment peut on hesiter entre Metal Heart et Eat the heat qui n'a d'accept que le nom sur la pochette.Pour Udo animal house est vraiment excellent ,j'aime bien aussi Mean Machine,Timebomb,Holy et Man And Machine.
J'adore le ACCEPT des années 81 à 86 qui a sorti à cette époque que des tueries. Sur Eat The Heat il y a qu'un titre que j'aime bien, objection overruled est pas trop mal. Sinon j'ai tous les albums d'UDO où l'on retrouve énormément d'elements du Accept de la grande époque, on sait à quoi s'en tenir et j'achète toujours ses albums à leur sortie les yeux fermés.

@ Cillian : il faut absolument que tu te procures Breaker, Restless And Wild et Balls To The Wall. Ces trois album, avec Metal Heart constituent le sommet de la discographie d'Accept. Et surtout, capte-toi Staying A Life, qui est un des meilleurs live de metal, toutes périodes et tous styles confondus.
mes préférés sont restés "Breaker" où le groupe s'est trouvé, et "Restless And Wild" ou le groupe a bien enfoncé le clou, pour moi c'est les deux classiques d'Accept...
Balls To The Walls/Metal Heart/Russian Roulette sont écoutables, mais ils sont plus accessibles, et pas aussi heavy que "Breaker" et "Restless"...
J'ai voté RESTLESS AND WILD, l'intro de Fast as a shark, le côté calme avant la tempête, j'adore.
Mais j'aurais très bien pu choisir BREAKER ou METAL HEART, qui est le premier album d'Accept que j'ai écouté, après avoir entendu une reprise du titre éponyme en concert qui m'a foutu une bonne raclée
M'enfin je suis peut être pas aussi sentimentale que certains

ACCEPT bassist Peter Baltes has slammed the version of the band's classic song "Balls to the Wall" that appears on the newly issued "VH1 Metal Mania Stripped Volume 3" CD as "the biggest piece of garbage I have ever heard."
Even though the acoustic version of "Balls to the Wall" that appears on "Stripped" is credited to ACCEPT, it turns out that the legendary German heavy metal band never recorded an "unplugged" rendition of the track. Instead, it turns out that this particular recording was made by U.D.O., the German heavy metal group fronted by former ACCEPT singer Udo Dirkschneider.
Upon hearing the "Balls to the Wall" recording that came out earlier this week on the "Stripped" CD, Baltes said, "I checked out the 'acoustic' version of 'Balls'. This is about the biggest piece of garbage I have ever heard. I call this butchering a true piece of metal history to pieces just to be on a stupid compilation album that nobody will buy anyway. I guess, when you are desperate enough some do anything to make a buck."
Longtime ACCEPT manager Gaby Hoffmann, who is married to the band's guitarist, Wolf Hoffmann, stated: "The fans always know exactly what is going on and that is most important for me..... and thanx to friends like you — the truth will always remain! Thank you for everything!"

j'attends d'écouter ça, ça peut être original je trouve et j'aime beaucoup Udo quand il fait des morceaux "délire" sur ses albums solo. Ce mec a une classe que Baltes n'aura jamais! Lui, c'est une version néo qu'il aurait fait
