So we did a really sweet deal there and then Sony BMG have been really cool about me gaining access to all of the FIGHT material, because that was originally on Epic. The TWO project was with Trent Reznor's label, Nothing Records, through Interscope. And I wasn't really sure there would be that much demand for it, but the fact is that everybody keeps asking me about it and I'm really pleased about that. 'Cause, to some extent, I think that it was overlooked because it wasn't metal as people know me for, but it was a fantastic collaboration with Trent and what I would like for people to hear are the original recordings that Trent first listened to. And then when he became involved with Dave 'Rave' Ogilvie from SKINNY PUPPY in Vancouver, the three of us put our heads together and created that final CD. So I think that it would be great if everybody had an opportunity to listen to the original songs, because they are a lot tougher, you know, they're a lot edgier. They've got more of a rock/metal vibe going to them."

JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford recently spoke to UK's Metal Hammer magazine about his aspirations to one day make a "black metal" record. "Oh, yeah, some day I'd love to, but it's all about finding the time," he said. "I'm metal 24-7. Ihsahn [guitarist/vocalist of Norwegian black metal legends EMPEROR] has been a good friend of mine for many, many years and we've had conversations about trying to do something together. A few of the DIMMU BORGIR guys are also urging me to try. So if I did give it a go, it would be with guys of that calbre. I'll be honest, I love that music but I've no idea what venturing into that territory might sound like. Ihsahn's attitude is, 'So why not have a go?' And he's absolutely right. That's what life's all about. What's the point of staying in your safe little comfort zone?"

Rare video footage of 2WO (a.k.a. TWO) — the short-lived industrial metal band featuring JUDAS PRIEST vocalist Rob Halford and ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist John Lowery (a.k.a. John 5) — performing the song "Shout" at the Milwaukee Summerfest on May 23, 1998 can be viewed below.

2WO was formed by Halford after the break-up of his first solo project, FIGHT. Halford and Lowery formed the group in 1997 and were signed to Trent Reznor's Nothing Records label. Reznor produced their sole output, "Voyeurs", which was a commercial and critical disaster. Halford disbanded the ill-fated group two years later. Halford has recently expressed interest in releasing the early demos from "Voyeurs", which he has described as "tougher [and] a lot edgier" compared to the final album.

Christina Fuoco-Karasinski at LiveDaily.com recently caught up with JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford. An excerpt from the story is available below.

"I love what I do and I'm in my golden years as a metal singer," Halford, calling from his home in San Diego, said during an interview with LiveDaily. "I turn 58 this coming August, which I'm excited about. I'm even more excited about when I turn 60, but that's jumping the gun. I want to stay associated with everything that I love for as long as I possibly can. Having these avenues like the record label and the clothing line and other things, keep me vibrant and in a world that I don't want to let go of."

This July, he will add even more product to the metal world when Judas Priest releases A Touch of Evil -- Live, which features such Priest gems as 'Riding on the Wind', 'Beyond the Realms of Death', 'Dissident Aggressor', 'A Touch of Evil', 'Eat Me Alive' and the set-closing 'Painkiller'. Also of note are the first live-album appearances of standouts from Judas Priest's critically acclaimed 2008 concept album, Nostradamus ('Death' and 'Prophecy').

"It's the first live album in a while from Priest," Halford said. "We recorded loads and loads of shows over the past couple of tours that we've done. We've tried to do basically something we had not done before, which is put in tracks that we've never released live in this format. I'm really pleased about it.

"It's a very, very strong, heavy, aggressive set of tunes. It really shows the determination of the band three decades later, that we can still play our metal with the same passion and power that we've always had."
