Heed, groupe composé d'ex-Lost Horizon

Daniel Heiman (chant) et Fredrik Olsson (guitares), 2 anciens membres de Lost Horizon, ont formé le nouveau groupe HEED.
On peut écouter plein d'extraits du résultat en streaming :

Mais ça sonne vraiment pas comme Lost Horizon j'ai l'impression, beaucoup plus comme Soilwork en fait...
Et pendant ce temps Lost Horizon ne retrouveront probablement jamais un chanteur de ce calibre......

Et pour se consacrer à HEED, Daniel Heiman a aussi quitté CRYSTAL EYES...
Daniel Heiman will not be singing with CRYSTAL EYES in the future. Daniel's full attention has now for some time been on his own band HEED, and writing and recording their debut album. Of course we hoped to make more than one album and one gig with Daniel when we first decided to work together, but writing and recording his own music has been his goal for a long time now, and we wish him all the best.

J'ai écouté sur le site, je trouve pas que ça fasse Soilwork du tout, et Daniel Heiman est loin d'être sous-employé...
Ça sonne plus moderne et moins riffu que Lost Horizon c'est vrai, 'fin ça a quand même l'air plus proche de leur ancien groupe que des trucs suédois à la mode

Oui j'ai écouté les nouveaux extraits qu'ils ont mis, et en fait ça sonne vraiment pas comme ma première impression
C'est moins original que le deuxième Lost Horizon, mais Heiman chante super bien à nouveau et globalement ça a l'air bien accrocheur

Lost Horizon : ma meilleure surprise de ces dernières années
Quel chanteur, je suis content qu'il soit à nouveau "opérationnel" mais j'aurais préféré que ce soit avec LH
Dans le sujet "conseils à donner aux groupes", j'avais proposé à LH de faire une starac metal
pour qu'ils trouvent enfin un chanteur,car là ça traîne on dirait
Les extraits sont pas mal du tout, mais j'avais vraiment beaucoup aimé le deuxième album de LH et son côté très travaillé,et j'avais espéré un DVD live...

Leurs bassiste et batteur viennent de se barrer mais ils sont déjà remplacés. En attendant une prochaine sortie européenne, l'album n'est sorti qu'au Japon pour l'instant...
HEED, the new Swedish band featuring former LOST HORIZON members Daniel Heiman (vocals) and Fredrik Olsson (guitar), have parted ways with drummer Mats Karlsson (stand-in drummer for LOST HORIZON's Spanish tour) and bassist Jörgen Olsson (ex-SEVENTH ONE). Their replacements have already been chosen and the new members took part in the video shoot for the song "Last Drop of Blood", which began on Saturday, December 17.
Commented Daniel and Fredrik: "This band has never been hotter. Finally we seem to have found the right essence for a perfect band!"
"Last Drop of Blood" comes off HEED's debut album, "The Call", which was released in Japan on October 21.

J'accroche pas beaucoup aux extraits. Mais quel chanteur... vivement qu'il revienne dans Lost Horizon avec les pots de peinture

L'album n'est toujours pas dispo en Europe
C'est clair que cet album n'est pas à la hauteur du dernier Lost Horizon mais la voix de Daniel fait toujours mouche. je suis toujours aussi fan

Il sortira le
9 juin en Europe chez Metal Heaven Records.
Et ils ont une nouvelle section rythmique...
HEED, the new Swedish band featuring former LOST HORIZON members Daniel Heiman (vocals) and Fredrik Olsson (guitar), have announced the addition of drummer Ufuk Demir (SHADOWBUILDER, POEM, RELEVANT FEW), bassist Tommy Larsson (JAGGERNAUT, DREAM EVIL) and guitarist Martin Andersson (OPRESSOR, TON OF BRICKS) to the group's ranks. The band have also revealed that they have signed a deal with Metal Heaven Records for the European release of their debut album, "The Call", which is due on June 9.

Tiens moi aussi j'ai acheté l'album depuis quelques temps, pas encore bien écouté mais déjà rien qu'avec Heiman au micro ça peut pas être mauvais :tenor:

Ca reste quand même bien en-dessous des 2 albums de LH,bien moins fouillé comme compos,moins mélodique et les mêmes riffs tout à fait quelconques pour débuter les morceaux

C'est dommage. Leur 1er album était excellent. Quel gachis.
Et de l'autre côté Lost Horizon qui patauge toujours avec leur recherche de chanteur...Si Heiman pouvait revenir dans le groupe ça serait bien. Le premier Lost Horizon est peut-être mon album préféré de Power metal.

Depuis le split de HEED, Daniel Heiman chante dans LAVETT, un nouveau groupe de metal alternatif.
Autant dire qu'il exploite beaucoup moins sa voix qu'avant...

A rough-mix version of the song "Hold On" from LAVETT — the new Swedish five-piece consisting of musicians who have spent the last ten years making albums and touring with such acts as LOST HORIZON, BESEECH, NIGHTRAGE, TWDSO (THOSE WE DON'T SPEAK OF) and SUNDOWN/CEMETARY — is available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.
"Hold On" will appear on LAVETT's debut album, which is currently being recorded at Studiomega in Varberg, Sweden for an early 2010 release via an as-yet-undetermined record label.
LAVETT recently parted ways with bassist Michael Niklasson (ex-DARK TRANQULLITY) and replaced him with Henric Carlsson (ex-NIGHTRAGE, DEAD BY APRIL).
According to a press release, LAVETT's sound is "a perfect blend of their musical ideals. Taking the listener from beautiful landscapes of melodies to a raw, unpolished and powerful rock nirvana. Even though you may know the LAVETT members from before. You'll have had no way to prepare yourself for what they're bringing to your speakers this time around."
