SODOM DVD "Lords of Depravity"

apparemment ça sort en deux fois, j'espère que ça sera bien foutu, il paraît qu'ils se sont appliqués pour choisir les bandes.
"Hallo Sodomaniacs! Here's the latest news about our DVD.
After consultation with our label SPV we came to the conclusion to distribute the DVD in two different publications. Part 1 (two DVDs) will appear in September (Germany) and contain the Sodom history from 1982 to 1995 and the concerts from Sofia, WFF, Wacken, BYH and Rock Hard festival. Total play time of the double DVD will be at least five hours, and it is already produced extremely complex. That's why it is now shifted for the third time. Nothing that could be interesting for you Sodom fans should be withheld. Highlight of the entire DVD are interviews with all, still living ex musicians. It was a real challenge for me to organize that all! I'm sure, there's nothing comparable in this sector. Thus, waiting will be worthwhile itself!
DVD part two will be published at the beginning of 2006 and contain the history from 1996 to 2005 when there was no more line up change, as you know. But the material, which has been collected over these years is almost inexhaustibly and is now being sighted and evaluated. You can barely imagine, what you'll get to see and hear, because in this period a camera was always at hand. This double DVD will also have a play time of more than five hours. More details later.
The new album will be published in January, according to SPV. Drum and guitar tracks are complete, I will do my parts in June/July. To us it will be the most important, and as I believe also the best Sodom album of all times.
Furthermore many live activities are planned. Hope to meet some of you there for some beer.... once again, thank you for your understanding and your patience.

OVERVIEW:
Gelsenkirchen. Germany’s most picturesque municipality – if you’re into heavy industry, mining and soccer, that is. But next to its main exports (formerly coal, these days redundant miners), this quiet little town in the heart of the Ruhr area has another successful export that may be less well-known among the general public, but is nonetheless extremely popular on the international metal scene: SODOM.
Here, bang in the middle of this industrial Babylon, three ambitious devotees of canned beer and heavy metal got together some 27 years ago, donning the trust-inspiring aliases of Angelripper, Grave Violator and Witchhunter to rise from the morbid working-class Moloch and delight the world with their musical creations. Although their musical talent in the ideological wake of the likes of Motörhead, Venom and German crooner Harald Juhnke was more or less limited to consuming a crate of beer before turning the amps on full blast, the “concept” of torturing their instruments as fast as possible, as loudly as possible and with as little complexity as possible worked. The sound of these three forerunners of the cultural apocalypse, more than just a little unconventional at the time, went down extremely well with all those who considered Iron Maiden too musically advanced and Venom too slow.
SODOM the way they were and will continue to be: loud, raw, brutal, unadulterated and full on. From the very first to the last note, from opener to encore, all fucking night long.
SPV now releases an incredible Double DVD of the thrash heroes.

Le package est sorti!
On a regardé le DVD live avec Gasp, c'est sympa et ça tabasse évidemment, avec des morceaux tirés de concerts ces 5 dernières années, essentiellement le concert à Sofia en 2004 en fait. Mais attention c'est pas pour les épileptiques, montage ultra-intense garanti
Le son est assez homogène d'un lieu à l'autre, très cru et in-your-face, plus encore que sur le dernier live! Au moins y'a pas de tromperie sur la marchandise c'est du Sodom, faut pas acheter ce DVD pour entendre du son super propre passé au Finnvox
En bonus on retrouve leurs clips... du grand art
Sur celui de "Augebombt" les images ne correspondent pas à ce qui est joué, "Silence is Consent" est plus sérieux et dénonce la chasse aux baleines (si si) avec des images assez dures, et enfin "Die Stummer Ursel" c'est du bon vieil humour allemand débile et gras

Ah ben dommage, j'aurais bien aimé savoir ce qu'il valait, parce qu'il a l'air vraiment intéressant !
De toute façon, je vais pas tarder à me l'acheter ! Rien que la lecture du contenu...

J'ai regardé la moitiée à peu près aussi et c'est vrai que c'est bien foutu, dommage qu'il ne soit pas sous-titré en français.
As-tu regardé le DVD live ? Ils est très bon et vachement intense. Un des meilleur DVD concert que j'ai vu.

Je m'embrouille un peu entre l'anglais lu et l'allemand entendu mais ça va, c'est supportable !
Je vais essayer de le finir dimanche et de regarder le live

Bon bah après le DVD du concert bien épileptique-prend-ça-dans-ta-face il y a quelques temps avec Fangface, j'ai regardé le DVD documentaire qui raconte l'histoire de Sodom du début jusqu'en 1995. Et bien ce reportage est vraiment très interessant avec plein d'intervenants, pratiquement toutes les personnes qui ont joué dans Sodom excepté le gratteux du second album qui est mort et de celui de masquerad in blood qui a fait de la taule et qui ne souhaitait pas se montrer mais également des musiciens célèbres dont Lemmy himself (un court moment à la fin). Il y a des anecdotes bien drôles et pas mal desdocuments d'archive le tout beignant dans les chansons de Sodom correspondant aux époques abordées. Le seul problème c'est que les sous titres ne sont disponibles qu'en anglais et qu'ils sont pas très visibles et des fois mal synchronisés (parfois des sous titres restent affichés au bas mot pendant une demi seconde
un peu comme les images du concert sur l'autre DVD
). Mais sinon vraiment, ce double DVD vaut largement le coup!

Je crois qu'on ne peut pas faire meilleur comparaison, ils incarnent l'esprit du rock n'roll dans le metal. Et pour Angelripper dans une de ses faces la plus extrême !

Je l'ai acheté aujourd'hui, y a pas à dire, ça ramone le cul.
Je regarderai la suite plus tard mais c'est vachement bien !
