Bon c'est pas vraiment une news sur Death Angel :
ALL TIME HIGHS, the new San Francisco Bay Area-based band featuring DEATH ANGEL frontman Mark Osegueda alongside members of LICA-STO, TRES PISTOLAS, THE SICK and THE OOZIES, will make their live debut on January 7, 2006 at Club Fred in Fresno, California. Osegueda had previously described the band's musical direction as "straight-ahead balls-out rock" in the vein of MC5 and THE BRONX.

j'espère surtout qu'ils vont vite ressortir un nouveau cd car the art of dying était excellent!
je jetterai une oreille sur ce nouveau groupe même si ça a l'air bien éloigné de ce qu'ils ont pu proposer jusqu'à maintenant.

The Art of Dying est vraiment bon c'est vrai, même si ils ont un peu évolué depuis The Ultraviolence

"We've been jamming out at our studio in Oakland, creating a new album which we plan to release later this year. Good vibes are flowing! Can't wait for you to feel it…
"We're pretty much going to lay low on the live shows until we get the album completed. In fact, we did not plan to do any shows at all before summer but then we got invited to play in the Philippines! 'Pulp Summer Slam Seven' takes place at Amoranto Stadium in Manila [on April 28] and we can't wait to hit that outdoor stage in the sizzling heat… it's gonna be insane!
"OK, maybe one or two of the summer festivals in Europe; it's torture passing those up!
"Other than that, it's all about getting that 'studio tan,' but you can bet your sweet ass that we'll be coming your way after we drop our new disc on ya… I also want to thank each and every one of you who continue to support and enjoy our music. You make us feel so warm and fuzzy."
Rob Cavestany recently posted three songs from his acoustic solo project on his MySpace page. The tracks "20 Years", "Who When and Where" and "Brown Van" come off the "Acoustic Bliss" EP and can be streamed at this location.
DEATH ANGEL's latest CD, "The Art of Dying", was released in May 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records. The group's first studio album since 1990's "Act III" was recorded at SF Soundworks studios in San Francisco, California with producer Brian Joseph Dobbs (VOIVOD, MANMADEGOD).

on peut écouter de nouveaux titres de son album solo sur son myspace.
en tout cas, pas de doute, c'est un sacré compositeur.
j'imagine que metalmilitia écoutera ça avec interêt

Maintenant que je suis de retour de vacances et que j'ai de nouveau accès au net , je peuxenfin écouter cela avec grand intérêt!

le groupe entre en studio pour l'enregistrement de leur nouveau méfait la semaine prochaine avec Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH, VELVET REVOLVER, STONE SOUR) à Los Angeles.
Le mixage devrait être terminé fin novembre.

par contre leur producteur au vu des ces références me fait un peu peur....
..... j'espère que ça sera bien du thrash ce nouvel opus.

DEATH ANGEL, the legendary Thrash metallers from the Bay Area, entered the studio with highly acclaimed Producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH, VELVET REVOLVER, etc.) to begin recording their new album for an early 2008 release. Here´s a statement from guitar player Rob Cavestany: "We are posted up in Los Angeles getting into some serious musical activity. Drove down a week ago and started off with a couple days of final pre-production. We took the songs even further, jamming for hours and digging deep into the details and arrangements. They are now ready to be recorded! We started tracking on Wednesday and it sounds insane! Raw drum tonnes are huge! Andy (Galeon, drums) is totally ripping it up, best he's ever been! To top it off, we have the most awesome production team yet. Nick, Lou, Fig, John and Dave are totally on top of their shit. Fuckin pros, man! By Tuesday we should be knee-deep in guitar tracking heaven. Besides all my own gear, there is a shitload of guitars, amps, cabinets, effects and every damn thing to experiment with waiting to be played this week. Can't wait to attack and throw down some axe trax… Needless to say we are enjoying the process of recording this album to the fullest. We can't wait for you all to hear it.
