TERRORIZER, reformation

Le groupe est sur le point de signer avec un important label dont on ignore encore le nom. En dehors de Jesse Pintado et Pete Sandoval, on ne connait toujours pas l'identité du bassiste ni du chanteur mais TERRORIZER vient tout juste de mettre en ligne sur sa page myspace un nouveau titre. "Doomed Forever" est extrait d'un maquette de préproduction mais attention, ça cogne.

Il y a TERRORIZER qui va peut-être se reformer... et tout le monde, au choix :
- s'en branle
- ne connais pas (???)
- était déjà au courant
- n'a pas vu ce topic
...
J'aurais vraiment cru que ce topic provoquerait des réactions, car plus mythique en grind que TERRORIZER, il y a pas (ou alors, faut chercher loin)...

J'avais pas vu ce topic.
Je savais que Terrorizer se reformait : c'est pour cette raison que Pintado a quitté Napalm Death.
Franchement, je veux pas faire le rabat-joie, mais que peut-on attendre 17 ans après le culte World Downfall? En tout cas, j'espère qu'ils reprendront pas David Vincent... Terrorizer était un groupe engagé, et Vincent n'est plus du tout dans cette démarche...
Sinon, je vois pas bien l'interêt de cette reformation : il y a peu de chance de les voir tourner en plus, Sandoval est assez occupé avec Morbid Angel, et Pintado disait il y a pas si longtemps qu'il en avait marre des tournées.

Bah ca depend , la reformation de SOD y'a quelques années c'etait pas si mal que ca......alors un bon album ca se peut tout a fait !!!

Ils viennent de signer chez Century Media avec un nouveau line-up
Reunited grindcore pioneers TERRORIZER have inked a deal with Century Media Records.
"This is a big step in the process for everyone involved with TERRORIZER and we are pleased to announce the great news," commented TERRORIZER guitarist Jesse Pintado (formerly of NAPALM DEATH).
The new TERRORIZER incarnation will consist of one half of its original lineup. Pintado will grind out the guitars and Pete Sandoval (MORBID ANGEL) will play some of the fastest drumming in recorded history. Introducing themselves to the TERRORIZER fold are guitarist Tony Norman (MORBID ANGEL, MONSTROSITY) and vocalist Tony Militia (RESISTANT CULTURE). Many people have asked why Oscar Garcia (NAUSEA) and David Vincent (MORBID ANGEL) are not returning. Simply put, Oscar is no longer interested in TERRORIZER and wants to focus on his own band NAUSEA.
Regarding what the fans can expect from the group's long-awaited new release, Pintado said, "It will be different but in the TERRORIZER vein." There are reportedly talks of introducing classical piano parts, industrial noise parts and chants on the new record. A 13-minute-plus song is in the works as well as some of the fastest drumming ever put to tape. Recording sessions are set to begin in January 2006. A late spring release is tentatively expected.

C'est marrant, il dit pas pourquoi Vincent n'est pas de la partie...
Avec Tony Norman, ça le fait. Mais un truc me chiffonne : au dernières nouvelles, il avait disparu, non?
Il y avait même un avis de recherche... J'y comprends plus rien là...
Un communiqué qui date de cet été :
MONSTROSITY drummer Lee Harrison has issued the following update regarding missing MORBID ANGEL/MONSTROSITY guitarist Tony Norman:
"After returning from the last MORBID ANGEL tour, Tony was supposed to have some 'down time' from MORBID ANGEL and we talked about getting together to write some new MONSTROSITY material. I called him several times after the tour and always got no answer. I just presumed he was busy and didn't think too much of it. A few weeks go by and I'm still trying him with no answer... Next, I get a call from David Vincent [MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist], who is concerned, saying he hasn't heard from Tony. At this point I still think he is probably just 'off doing his thing.' Well, another week goes by and Tony is supposed to leave with MORBID to do this Portugal show and Vincent says he still hasnt heard anything and now it's getting really strange. We ask all of his close friends and no one has seen or heard from him. We've called his family, gone to his girlfriend's place of work (she is missing, too, and she doesn't work there anymore), checked hospitals, jails, we've gone to places where he might hang out and no one has seen him. It's just not like him to vanish like that.
"David has filed a police report but the attitude with them is that without any evidence something is wrong they can't do anything. Understandable in a way ... but not helping matters. I talked to David and suggested doing the press release and he agreed. I thought for sure Tony would see it or someone he knows would see it and tell him but it's been over a week since the release and still no Tony.
"Again, if anyone sees Tony or knows anything please have him call either David or I. A lot of people have been taking this as a joke or some kind of hoax but it isn't. Tony didn't make the Portugal flight and now his family and friends are really freaking out..."

On n'est pas sur un forum metal extrême et encore moins grind, rien d'étonnant que ça n'intéresse que très peu de monde, même si c'est culte...

Ben Terrorizer ça fait partie de l'histoire du metal tout court, non? C'est lié à Napalm Death et à Morbid Angel, et on parle de ces deux groupes sur le forum de temps en temps.

Ouais c'est lié, je voulais simplement dire qu'un vieux groupe de grind a quand même peu de chances d'être connu sur un forum metal "traditionnel", même si on parle aussi de death metal.
D'ailleurs est-ce que tous les fans de Morbid sont des fans de Terrorizer?

Oui, sûrement
En même temps, TERRORIZER c'est du grind old school donc bien cool. C'est pas du grind ultra brutal à la FLESH PARADE ou à la GORE BEYOND NECROPSY.

ça c'est une putain de bonne nouvelle, même si le line-up a évolué.
Un groupe de cette stature fait toujours du bien dans la scène.
Le titre en écoute laisse augurer du bon.
En attendant la suite, avec une grande impatience!
