Le nouvel album est en préparation


Bassist Jan Bünning of the German power metallers PARAGON has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"We already have written about five songs for the next album, have ideas for about five more and I can assure You it's the most heavy shit we have ever done. As far as it looks now, the record will again be a concept album dealing with a post-apocalyptic world. To be honest, I don't know if Buschi [vocalist Andreas Babuschkin] will include our 'hero' of 'Law of the Blade' and 'The Dark Legacy' again, but it will have good old metal fun lyrics anyway!"

PARAGON's latest album, "Revenge", was released in the U.S. in April via Magick Records. The CD marks the follow-up to the band's successful album "The Dark Legacy", released by Remedy in 2003.

"Revenge" was recorded in part at Karo studios with the help of an engineer, and the rest of the recording process and mixing was done at Piet Sielck's (IRON SAVIOR) new Powerhouse Studios. The artwork for the record was done by the Argentine artist Valgorth. PRIMAL FEAR guitarist Tom Naumann makes a guest appearance on lead guitar in the track "Impaler".

Cinq titres sont déjà prêts. J'espère que "Gangland" n'est pas la reprise de Maiden du même nom Ils devaient bosser sur un DVD mais c'est remis à plus tard, ils consacrent leur temps aux compos de l'album à venir.

"We are still in songwriting mode. So far we have five songs with vocals and two more which don't have any lyrics yet. Some (working) titles are: 'The Hammer Of The Gods', 'Face Of Death', 'Forgotten Prophecies',
'Gangland'.

At present we try to figure out when we will be ready to enter the studio and in which studio we will record the new album as it is almost sure that we will not go to Piet Sielck's (IRON SAVIOR) Powerhouse this time. We have postponed the release of our first DVD because of all this work as we think to put out new stuff is more important now. Furthermore we will also have the chance to record some more gigs and impressions from the festivals and gigs we are going to play this year. So - that's all buddies!"

des compos simples et très efficaces .

on attend impatiemment le prochain album , peut être dans l'esprit "dark legacy " ,qui est pour moi leur meilleur album , sans dénigrer les autres .

"Drums, rhythm guitars and (almost) all bass tracks [for the new PARAGON album] are done by now. I still have to do two more cover versions and two of ouf our songs on Wednesday but then I am also finished and then it's time for Buschi [Andreas Babuschkin] to sing his first songs. For now we decided to record everything, including the vocals, in Steve's studio where we already recorded most of the stuff. Then we see if we really need an 'external' producer as we really like what we recorded so far and it really sounds real heavy.

"As mentioned before we will record 10 new PARAGON songs (including one instrumental / intro) as well as two cover versions (one for the album,
one for a tribute CD)."

PARAGON's new album will contain the following tracks (in no particular
order):

Ils ont également enregistré une reprise de TANKARD, "Two Faced".

paragon.je les avais vu en 2004 au WOA il me semble,j'avais tellement accroché que je me suis fait l'intégrale depuis.
j'adore le chant du frontman,une voix vraiment originale!

vu deux fois en live, et deux fois avec Lonewolf en 1ère partie, autant dire que c'etait du bon ! huhuh...
pour ma part c'est "Law of the Blade" que je place tout en haut de leur disco !
a bordel, j'etais ds du judas Priest mais now faut que je m'ecoute c't'album...faites chier...quoi je perds rien au change.

C'est clair qu'il est l'atout numéro 1 du groupe

Leur seul élément de personnalité diront les mauvaises langues

Sinon mon préféré bah euh je sais pas, ils sont à peu prêts tous du même niveau, peut-être Law of the Blade un micropoil au-dessus ouais, mais c'est Steelbound qui m'avait mis une bonne claque.

Le groupe vient de finir le mixage de leur nouvel album " FORGOTTEN PROPHECY " , qui devrait sortir fin mai 2007 .

PARAGON se sépare aussi du bassiste " jan bunning " , pour divergences musicales .

ils vont mettre une tchite reprise sur le CD "Deny the cross" d'OVERKILL chouette (Timmmeeeeeeeeee ttttttttoooooooo kkkkkkkiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllll )

Ça risque d'être spécial, puisque leur chanteur n'a pas trop le même registre que Blitz. Et leur bassiste n'est quand même pas à la hauteur du grand DD Verni (même s'il doit porter sa basse plus haut que ce dernier). Mais ça devrait bien tabasser comme reprise.

Un futur déboitement de cervicales en vue!

Ouais c'est clair, voilà bien un groupe qui fait plaisir à chaque nouvel album.

Bon, ça y est j'ai ecouté le new album, j'espere juste que c'est pas la version finale car la prod me semble en dessous du surpuissant REVENGE.
Bref, on verra ça avec la sortie officielle fin juin.
Sinon, rien à dire c'est ds la lignée de Revenge avec des refrains toujours aussi devastateurs, ça fait mal à la tronche et on en redemande quand c'est fini...

j'ai recu le promo hier, la prod me semble moins bonne que sur le precedent sinon c'est fait mal par on sa passe

je confirme, ils ont oublié la basse dans le mixage!!!!!
Après une première écoute je suis très déçu, je retrouve pas les hymnes de revenge ou de law of the blade
c'est presque un album de thrash par moment, où sont passés les gros riffs monstrueux qu'on pouvait entendre sur les précédents (traitor, symphony of pain, armies of the tyrant...), less chansons épiques (across the wastelands...)
J'attend de voir les interviews, et de me le réécouter

je pense que le faite d'avoir le batteur de TORMENT y soit pour quelque chose dans l'evolution thrash du groupe, je pense notamment au morceau Face of death et la reprise d'overkill

Je preferais revenge aussi mais bon ca s'écoute

Pour le prochain, un retour de Piet a la prod serait une bonne idée

Le CD+DVD avec fourreau est vraiment killer, superbe packaging/artwork pour ce new opus.
Après plusieurs ecoutes ce nouvel album mérite quand même une bonne note, ça reste du Paragon pour moi et du bon.
Malgré tout je suis de l'avis de tout le monde la prod est un cran en dessous de Revenge, mais bon on s'en fout et le DVD est vraiment sympa.
Haa la nosstalgie de la tournée avec Dark Age et Torment, putain quelle claque j'avais pris lors de la date bretonne.
