70 millions d'albums vendus dans le monde... des disques d'or et de platine à la pelle pour des albums aussi légendaires que « Foreigner » (1977), « Double Vision » (1978), « Head Games » (1979), « Foreigner 4 » (1981) ou « Agent Provocateur » (1984)... des hits inoubliables : « Feels Like The First Time », « Cold As Ice », « Hot Blooded », « Double Vision », « Jukebox Hero », « Waiting For A Girl Like You », « I Want To Know What Love Is », « Urgent »… Fort d’une carrière exemplaire, aujourd’hui FOREIGNER reste un très grand nom de la scène rock internationale. Ceux qui pourraient encore se poser des questions trouveront vite une réponse à leurs doutes en écoutant ce nouvel album, « Live in ‘05 », enregistré en public le 26 novembre 2005 à Las Vegas. Un CD qui présente tous les succès de ce groupe incontournable. Ce véritable « best of live » permet également d’apprécier les indéniables qualités du nouveau line-up de FOREIGNER. Derrière MICK JONES (guitares /claviers), le leader et fondateur de FOREIGNER, l’on retrouve JASON BONHAM (batterie), ex-Airrace Virginia Wolf, Bonham, UFO et fils du regretté John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), JEFF PILSON (basse), ex-Dokken, JEFF JACOBS (claviers), membre du groupe depuis 1994, qui a également joué avec Billy Joel, TOM GIMBEL (guitare / saxophone), un musicien de session que l'on a vu en tournée avec Aerosmith et enfin, et surtout, KELLY HANSEN au chant… C’est donc lui, l’ex-chanteur d'Hurricane, qui a la lourde tâche de remplacer Lou Gramm… Plus qu’une simple doublure, sur scène, Kelly s’avère plus que convaincant. Il redonne même une seconde jeunesse à l’ensemble du répertoire de FOREIGNER et permet donc à cette légende du Rock US d’envisager un avenir radieux.



FOREIGNER sera de retour en France, à Paris, le mardi 27 juin pour un concert unique et exceptionnel à Elysée Montmartre !

Jason said, "My time with FOREIGNER is coming to an end. This is the first time I've talked about it. I leave at the end of this month so, I mean, I'm looking forward to taking some time out to be with the family really. Since I moved to America I've been on the road, so my first priority is to go and watch my kids grow up, because they've grown up way to fast in the last four years."

There has been no word yet from FOREIGNER on who will replace Jason

US rockers FOREIGNER are set to release a new 3-CD set of new music, remixed hits and live performances.

Entitled Can't Slow Down, the album will be available on September 29th via Rhino Entertainment.

The album features 13 new songs produced by Marti Frederiksen and Mark Ronson, the title track a nod to NASCAR and the band's appearance at this year's Samsung 500 in Texas.

The second disc remixes Foreigner classics such as 'Double Vision', 'Cold As Ice', 'Urgent', 'Hot Blooded' and 'I Wanna Know What Love Is'.

The third disc in the set is a DVD which culls performances of hits in 5.1 surround sound, plus footage from Foreigner's current European tour.

The collection will be sold exclusively at Walmart for $12. The band launches its US tour July 30th in Morristown, N.J.

Eagle Rock Entertainment has set a May 29 release date for FOREIGNER's "Alive & Rockin'", recorded at one of Europe's most popular hard rock fests, the 2006 Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen, Germany. This nine-track concert, previously released on DVD only (Eagle Rock Entertainment) is now available for the first time on CD.

"My initial musical vision for FOREIGNER was to combine blues and R&B with British rock and make it sound soulful and authentic," says guitarist Mick Jones. "I'd grown up in England and had the English influence but I was also inspired by many elements of American music from Mississippi blues to country. FOREIGNER was the vehicle to get that musical blend across."

That "blend" was never more evident than on this rockin' night as Jones — with vocalist Kelly Hansen, drummer Jason Bonham, keyboardist Jeff Jacobs, multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel (guitars, saxophone, flute) and bassist Jeff Pilson — knocked out a crowd-pleasing set that included eight U.S. Top 20 hits including anthems "Juke Box Hero", "Cold As Ice" and "Hot Blooded".

This most beloved of classic rock bands has been serving up the hits for over 30 years. With over 70 million records sold worldwide, they're second only to LED ZEPPELIN on the Atlantic Records roster in total album sales. Jones, producer of 10 of FOREIGNER's multi-platinum albums, has composed some of the most memorable riffs in rock history. After forming SPOOKY TOOTH with Gary Wright in the early 1970s, he left his native England to move to New York in 1976 and formed FOREIGNER.
