Période 70's avec Byron, je me suis acheté hier "Sweet Freedom". Il arrete pas de tourner en boucle, vraiment génial cet album

en plus version remaster avec trois bonus

on m'a parlé d'un DVD pirate d'un concert avec David Byron au chant, je devrais l'avoir sous peu, j'en bave d'avance

Surtout si c'est le line up avec Gary Thain

Ah ben Wonderworld je le réécoutais hier soir tiens, bon album mais moins recherché que les albums "classiques" du Heep, il manque un petit truc mais ça vaut le coup quand même. C'est l'époque où il commençait à y avoir des tensions au sein du groupe aussi...

Sweet Freedom j'en pense à peu près la même chose mais faudrait que je le réécoute pour voir si mon avis n'a pas changé entre temps, c'est moins épique que les précédents en tout cas.

Wonderworld est très bon. Peut être pas du niveau des classiques, mais j'adore cet album, plus sombre, plus heavy, plus torturé.

On sent la mauvaise ambiance dans le groupe rien qu'à l'écoute du disque, mais il y a vraiment des perles dedans (Easy road, Dreams), et des titres bien heavy qui tuent (Suicidal man, something or nothing)

C'est un de mes préférés, et le dernier avec Gary Thain, dont le jeu hyper-mélodique à la basse troue le cul !!!

Excellent Uriah Heep, tout simplement excellent. "Salisbury", "Magician's birthday", "Look at yourself"... que des incontournables !

Ken Hensley: "I did ask Mick (Box) to come over to Spain and play on my last CD, 'The Last Dance', but he was too busy and I have offered them songs in the past but that offer was rejected too. I have a totally open mind and I would consider anything if it made sense musically but I will not take a single step backwards."

Uriah Heep a sorti quatre albums cultes qui sont des chef d'oeuvres au début de leur carrière. On y trouve tous leurs meilleurs titres pour ma part. Je pense qu'aucun autre album n'a égalé ces quatre là

je vote les 4 à la fois, trop difficile d'en sortir un seul du lot.
Return to Fantasy est tout de même très bon aussi.

Tous leurs albums avec David Byron sont des monuments du hard. Quel chanteur et quel groupe.
J'ai même lu une interview de King Diamond qui disait que D.Byron est son influence principale.

Je n'ai jamais écouté les albums des années 80 et 90, j'ai un peu peur d'être déçu. Demons & Wizards est mon préféré mais j'aurais pu voter pour Salisbury pour Lady in Black.

J'ai voté pour Look At Yourself, "July Morning" est un titre monstrueux !!!

Ces quatre albums sont de purs chef d'oeuvres intemporels, je me lasse jamais de les écouter

Je confirme

D'ailleurs on peut presque le deviner avec un morceau comme "Bird of Pray", KD a très probablement été influencé par le chant sur ce genre de titre.

Hello....j'ai voté Salisbury (pour la chanson Salisbury qui est incroyable)...une question personne ne parle jamais de leur premier album "very 'eavy...very umble" ...vous ne l'aimez pas...pourtant il contient aussi des superbes titres (Gypsy, Wake Up, Lucy Blues...) certes il est plus inégal et moins "personnel" que ses successeurs...mais je l'aime beaucoup aussi...

Si j'aime beaucoup le premier album, entièrement d'accord avec ton post d'ailleurs

"Come Away Melinda" aussi est bien sympa...

Ca me donne envie de découvrir ce que vous dites.

Ouais, version seventies et progressive, très mélodique et "naïf"
