The Swedish folk metal forerunners in Falconer return to glory with their new album "Black Moon Rising," which is scheduled to be released the June 6th in Europe, June 9th in the UK, and June 10th in North America. The first single to be released from the album, "Locust Swarm," can be heard below.

After the release of "Armod" in 2011, the first album entirely sung in Swedish and concentrating on the folk elements in the music, Falconer returns to the power and the glory of its roots. "Black Moon Rising" was recorded at Sonic Train Studios with Andy LaRocque. According to a press release, this album is "the most guitar oriented, riff-filled, and fastest Falconer release to date."

Comments Falconer main composer Stefan Weinerhall: "After an 8 month complete break from music on the verge of quitting it, I finally returned with a feeling of hunger, power and commitment to the song writing. The goal we all had was to wake up, stir things up a bit and perform at our very best. And so we all did!!"

Le groupe suédois va continuer à sortir des albums, mais ne se produira plus en concert après cet été.

En attendant il réédite son tout premier album avec des démos et des versions acoustiques :

Swedish folk metal pioneers Falconer have announced the re-issue of their legendary debut and fan-favourite album as an "Ultimate Edition" on April 21st, 2015! The "Ultimate Edition" will be available as a double CD digibook. Disc 2 is a bonus CD that features seven previously unreleased versions and demos of tracks from the album that you will not want to miss. All tracks on both discs have been remastered by Andy LaRocque for the ideal listening experience. Below, you can enjoy the remastered version of the classic "Mindtraveller".

Guitarist Stefan Weinerhall comments: "Re-releasing our debut album in a remastered version is a great kind of interlude while we do our last gigs as a live band. On top of that we offer our fans to finally hear the demo we did back in 1999, something very few people have heard. We also decided to re-record 3 songs from the debut in acoustic, very scaled down versions. It really got the songs to shine in a new kind of way. So about 35 minutes of unheard Falconer music in both exclusive CD and vinyl versions!"

The band's final live performances are scheduled for this summer but at least they will continue to make records. Make the best of these final shows if you can make it there.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce groupe à un moment donné, mais j'ai lâché l'affaire finalement.
J'aime la voix du chanteur, mais finalement il m'énerve car j'ai l'impression qu'il est pilotage automatique et qu'il chante trop pépère. Dommage!

Il s'agit par ailleurs de leur tout dernier album, le groupe ayant finalement décidé d'arrêter après. Il est pas si mal pour le genre.
