Nous nous sommes fait des amis, nous avons réussi tout ce que nous avions entreprit sans merder, nous savions comment faire le job et on l'a fait, tout simplement. Donc nous allons faire un autre album, et une dernière tournée. Quand la tournée précédente fut terminée, nous avons commencé à discuter et à poser quelques idées, il faut dire qu'on nous posait tout le temps la question d'un probable futur album. J'ai demandé à Sharon (ndlr : sa femme et manager) ce qu'il en était, car si il ne devait plus rien à faire avec BLACK SABBATH, je voulais pouvoir retourner vers ma carrière solo. Je l'ai relancée trois semaines après, mais elle devait encore se renseigner, je lui ai dit : "Je n'ai plus 21 ans putain ! J'aimerais qu'on fasse ça avant mes 70 ans ! Le temps n'est plus de notre côté !". Elle a passé un dernier coup de fil et est revenue me voir en me confirmant que la maison de disques voulait un album supplémentaire. Nous allons donc nous y remettre, et je crois que Rick Rubin va travailler une nouvelle fois à nos côtés."
Le groupe devrait commencer les premières sessions de travail au début 2015 : "Ce nouvel album arrivera plus vite que prévu, j'insiste sur ça. Il y a d'autres choses à gérer à côté, comme, évidemment, la santé de Tony, qui se bat contre un cancer et doit suivre son traitement. Mais nous commencerons l'an prochain, je ne sais pas si nous ferons ça en Angleterre ou à Los Angeles, mais soyez surs que je serais prêt à voler jusqu'à la lune pour le faire si il le fallait !"
Donc, pour résumer, BLACK SABBATH commencera à travailler sur son nouvel album dès le début de l'année 2015, et devrait, plus tard, rentrer en studio à nouveau avec Rick Rubin. Pour le reste ? Suspense !

According to The Pulse Of Radio, BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has posted photos online from his first day on the job as a teacher at Coventry University in the U.K. Iommi began his stint as a professor of music last Wednesday (September 24) and posted pictures of a class session as well as an autograph line where he signed things for students.
Iommi was appointed Visiting Professor Of Music last June at the university, which awarded him with an Honorary Doctorate Of Arts in November of last year for his outstanding contribution to global music. He toured the facilities in May and spent some time during that visit talking with students and staff about his 50 years as a musician.
Department Of Performing Arts head Dr. Sara Reed said, "It is a tremendous honor to have Tony here with us as a Visiting Professor. His huge wealth of experience and musical knowledge is beyond value to our students."
Iommi will work this fall directly with students on their songwriting and composition skills.

Esquire.com recently spoke with Ozzy Osbourne about his plans for next year, and he reflected on his troubled past, expressed his desire to have Bill Ward return as Sabbath's drummer, and shared his feelings about Miss Piggy. An excerpt follows:
Esquire: So you've gotten back with Black Sabbath again and you're doing Ozzfiesta, but putting the solo career on hold?
Ozzy: "I'm not one of these guys to do my solo stuff one night and Black Sabbath the next. I can't do that, you know. It's too much to handle. So with the Black Sabbath thing, the record company wants us to do one more record, and we've decided to do one more tour, and at the end of the tour we just disband and I go back to doing my solo stuff. And that's why I released Memoirs Of A Madman, to let people out there know I'm still functioning as a solo artist."
Esquire: And you will go back to recording as a solo artist in the future?
Ozzy: "Absolutely! What I'm really happy about is, if this is Black Sabbath's last hurrah, then we'll have ended it on an up note rather than when I left in 1979 and everybody was fucked up on one thing or another and I was marked out as being the worst, you know. It ended on a bad note, so... The only thing sad about it is I hope Bill Ward can get his stuff together to do this because... one of the biggest things I'm proud of in my life was that Black Sabbath wasn't a band that was created by some business mogul in London or New York. That we were four guys who had a great idea and it worked from record one, and we still... Would you believe that it took 45 years to get our first number-one album in America? It was amazing to me."
