Un boxset est en préparation chez Black Mark, alors qu'un t-shirt Bathory - In Memory of Quorthon vient d'être commercialisé (avec la pochette de ce qui aurait du être le prochain album) :
Börje "Boss" Forsberg, owner of Black Mark Records and father of late BATHORY mainman Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg, has issued the following statement regarding plans for new BATHORY merchandise and album releases:
"Dearest BATHORY friends, I would like to thank all of you for your supports all the time. All your condolences signed by thousands of letters, e-mails or in any other forms made all of us feel strong. It has been impossible for me to thank all of you the personally way, though I wish I could.
"Many of you asked new material from BATHORY. The 'Bathory - In Memory Of Quorthon' shirt comes to be released first. The shirt shall mind the memory of Quorthon. Kristian Wåhlin, who painted for 'Blood On Ice' and 'Nordland', did paint the motif after the instructions Quorthon left to him few weeks before he died. This artwork was meant to cover the next upcoming BATHORY album.
"I temporary since months work with the 'Bathory – In Memory Of Quorthon' box. It comes to be Quorthon's and BATHORY's completed musical history. Not much informations to be announced right now. It is a very big production, it takes up a great deal of my time to join the musical part with the historical part. The discography alone allready covers 64 pages. Throughout working with all the stuff, I feel Quorthon's on my very side. I’m that sure you all will appreciate the release of the Box I did in memory of Quorthon. More information: to be announced."

En même temps ces 3 Jubileums n'ont pas vraiment une grosse importance je trouve. Je préfère m'écouter les albums les uns après les autres que ces trois espèces de compiles
Par contre comme le dit Fangface, si il pouvait y avoir des morceaux que Quorton préparait avant son décès, ça serait pas mal...
"A unique work, exhaustively and respectfully assembled in remembrance of the legendary founder of death metal and viking metal. For an entire year Boss collected and went through so much material that it took months until the project truly began to take shape. Boss used as much of Quorthon's original material as possible — including his layouts, text and notes taken from the posted and unreleased material he left. J'avais pas capté que la Jennie Tebler qui a sorti un chouette single en hommage à Quorthon l'an dernier est en fait la soeur de ce dernier!
D'ailleurs sa version de "Song to Hall up High" est encore plus belle que l'originale à mon goût, on sent une authenticité poignante dans le chant, presque comme si finalement le morceau avait été écrit il y a 15 ans pour la mort de Quorthon, c'est puissant...
Du coup elle remet ça avec un autre single le 29 Septembre, "Between Life and Death - Never Stop Crying".

J'ai toujours trouvé ça mystérieux les line up de Bathory, le Boss à la batterie c'était qui? J'ai lu que son père Börje Forsberg était surnommé Boss, ça serait une histoire de famille?

C'est clair qu'il a toujours été mystérieux sur ses musicos, il parle de bons amis sans jamais les nommer précisemment, au mieux on a des prénoms. M'enfin bon on s'en fout un peu

Oui Boss qui produisait et jouait de la batterie sur certains albums est en fait son père, j'ai appris ça aussi récemment

Le père de Quorthon, "Boss" vient de décéder.
Il était le patron du label Black Mark, mais aussi le batteur et producteur sur pas mal d'albums de Bathory...
Börje "Boss" Forsberg — owner of Black Mark Records and father of late BATHORY mainman Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg — passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 14. A post on the Black Mark Production web site reads: "After many years of serious illness, his big heart has given up."
Börje's death comes more than thirteen years after the passing of his son, who was found dead in his apartment in Stockholm, Sweden on June 7, 2004. The 39-year-old, widely considered to be one of black metal's founding fathers, reportedly died of heart failure.
Although Quorthon's blood relation with Boss was staunchily denied — for reasons that are unclear — throughout BATHORY's lifespan, the musician's real identity was confirmed after his tragically early death.
