En tout cas avec quelques écoutes supplémentaires, il passe vraiment très bien, même si certains plans transpirent un peu trop le Megadeth (entre autres).

Vraiment un groupe sympa à écouter et qui confirme après le 1er album.

LOST SOCIETY unveil cover art for »Braindead« !

The third album by Finland-based thrash metallers LOST SOCIETY, »Braindead«, will be released on February 12th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast.

Today, the band just released the cover artwork of this upcoming album. It was created again by Jan Meininghaus (BOLT THROWER, SICK OF IT ALL, UDO, HOLY MOSES, DEBAUCHERY…).
Mastermind Samy Elbanna states:
"Jan really nailed it again ! We were stoked to have the dude illustrate the cover of the new album, and I think he really captured the theme of the album in this cover. A mentally deranged topless chick in a psych ward with the LxSx logo carved on her back, what could be more brutal?! The idea is pretty simple, in many ways »Braindead« talks about all kinds of f*cked up scenarios and of how we're trapped in this braindead society. Cheers to Jan!"

Jan Meinighaus adds:
"When I had another look at it today, I really liked the old school appeal of it. In combination with the given logo everything reminds me of the classic releases I loved in the late 80s. It sure looks a bit „airbrushed“ and over the top, but that’s exactly what I like about it in comparison to a lot of nowadays’ artworks that should be movie posters or videogame covers rather than thrash metal Art."

Et encore ici la voix est un poil plus écorchée que la moyenne on dirait, avec un refrain également différent, chez d'autres y'a même pas cet effort de différenciation minimale.

Euh c'est le même groupe qu'au début du topic?
J'ai sincèrement cru m'être fait abuser par un homonyme! Mais il semblerait que non, ils ont changé de registre, pour faire dans l'euphémisme. Si quelqu'un peut me décrire leur registre pour mettre à jour le titre du topic, pour ma part je n'ai pas réussi à aller jusqu'au bout de la chanson pour juger.

Only two years after their latest album No Absolution, Finnish modern metal squad, Lost Society, have come back ferociously with the first single from their upcoming manifesto, If The Sky Came Down, which will be released on September 30 via Nuclear Blast.

Frontman Samy Elbanna shares some insights: ”The upcoming album is a portrayal of how you see the world after you have come to terms with the fact that all hope has been lost. A world where all your insecurities and worst fears come to life. It’s my story, and '112' is where it all begins. It’s the moment you realize your life has started to unravel and you can finally be fully honest with yourself and admit: that you’re not okay. There’s something incredibly purifying and serene about letting go, and finally starting to build something new. Since writing the lyrics and chorus to this song, it was clear that this was the first song people have to hear from the album.”

He continues: “During the recording of the album, I had compiled a few different music video ideas that I really wanted to do for the album - and the synopsis that I had for 112 was just something we knew we HAD to do. The AMAZING Vita Pictura team immediately grabbed the idea and supercharged it, and I think together we made something absolutely magical. The music video depicts the whole theme of the album, and in particular, the feeling talked about on the track itself. Going through a period in time where you feel as though you keep waking up at the exact same time, the same place, and the same emotion without any help. You try to mess with your own “hell loop” but you just keep falling down and finding yourself back where you started.”

"Metal alternatif", ça passe partout. Et pour le coup, ça traduit bien le côté mélange d'un peu tout... pour ne pas dire "un peu trop mélangé" : on finit par s'y perdre. Espérons que l'album apporte un peu de cohérence à ce gloubiboulga, on verra bien ?
