Aucun repreneur n'est envisagé visiblement.

Hello friends,

it is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we confirm what some of you have already heard via print and online media, Facebook or other channels: Horst Franz has passed away. A few days ago, he finally lost the battle for his life that he had been fighting for so long.

The scene has lost a real pioneer and one of the few true and unwavering idealists who always followed his heart and did what he believed in - even when nobody else was doing so but him.

We ourselves are losing an unconventional boss who always took us on new and exciting adventures, a valued friend who was always there for us when we needed him, and a beloved family member who leaves a huge void.

The ROCK OF AGES, on the other hand, loses head, heart and soul all in one.

Even though it all began with BANG YOUR HEAD!!! and even there every move, every decision and every billing was rooted in the passion and love for the music, the artists and the enthusiasm of the fans, the ROCK OF AGES was always Horst's very own favorite child.

It wasn't just the festival around the corner and on his doorstep. It was the festival where Horst could realize his lifelong dreams. A vision that became reality, so to speak.

There were no stylistic boundaries worth mentioning in Seebronn, and it was possible to bring artists onto the stage who would have been almost unthinkable in Balingen. Artists who once shaped Horst's youth. He wanted to welcome them at least once to his own big party and handpicked each and every single one of them.

Behind the scenes, ROCK OF AGES was always the most personal of Horst's events, too, and two weeks after the annual BANG YOUR HEAD!!! monster marathon, it was a beloved and downright relaxed end to the festival season for many of those involved.

But without Horst, none of this can and will happen. It's simply not possible, because ROCK OF AGES always lived from and through Horst. The same applies or applied to all business matters relating to the festivals.

We must therefore inform you at this point that ROA 2024 has been definitively canceled. There are no plans to continue in the future. Only time will tell what will be done with the tickets sold for 2024. The economic situation must first be examined. As soon as we have reliable information on this, we will inform you here. However, this may take some time. Until then, please help us with your patiuence and refrain from contacting us.

Je pense que non seulement la situation financière mais aussi la situation légale ne permettent pas une reprise.
C´est malheureux pour les gens qui avaient acheté leur ticket, j´ai bien peur que ce ne soit difficile de récupérer ses petits sous
Et je suis très chanceuse car si je ne fais pas partie des détenteurs de billets, je le dois à une étourderie de plus de ma part (comme quoi le TDA a ses avantages aussi...parfois): j´ai acheté des tickets pour autre chose le même week-end
